We are looking for a night time support worker to join our rapidly expanding organisation who have provided high quality specialist mental health services for more than 15 years.
Our home is a 10-bed specialist residential service for adults with autism & mental health who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable, and effective care environment for those in our care.
We are currently recruiting for a night support worker to assist our residents in the provision of care ensuring Individuals retain as much of their dignity and individuality as possible as well as being involved in the general activities of the home. This is an incredibly varied and rewarding role, as you will be helping people we support to improve their quality of life, supporting residents in their daily living skills.

Care Home Manager – Mental Health:

Active Care Homes Limited is a well-established care provider for Adults with learning difficulties and mental health needs based in Doncaster. We are now seeking an experienced manager to join our organisation in the running of 12 beds across two homes within the same grounds with a “good CQC” rating. The role of the manager will require a dedication to undertake the management of supporting adults with mental health needs in the service and take up registration with CQC.

The main role of the manager is to lead, develop and supervise a dynamic team of 25 – 35 staff members and to meet all statutory and regulatory requirements in accordance with Care Quality Commission and Active Care homes policies and procedures. We would expect the manager to work towards providing the highest quality of care and to provide and maintain a safe and secure environment for all service users and staff.

Main duties and responsibilities:

· To ensure the protection of vulnerable adults in accordance with the care standards act and adhere to and keep updated House policies and procedures.

· To recruit, manage and support staff to achieve the above, ensuring that all necessary training, supervision, and support is provided in accordance with general social care councils code of practice for the employment of social care workers.

· To provide leadership, support advice and guidance to the team and promote good practice in order for them to carry out the highest quality of care.

· To ensure that assessment, care planning and monitoring systems are in use, together with effective systems for the deployment of care staff.

· To ensure that all necessary administrative procedures are followed, from daily and weekly audits, booking in of medication, liaising with GP’s and health care professional.

· To actively help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of the residents.

· To provide out of hours support to care staff.

· To carry out any other duties reasonably required to ensure the successful operation of the home.
