At ShawScope we know that waiting for a home visit can sometimes leave you wondering “when will he arrive?” — so we’ve introduced something new to make the whole experience clearer and more convenient.

Introducing Live Visit Tracking.

On the day of your appointment you’ll receive a personal tracking link that allows you to follow the progress of the day’s visits in real time.

This means you can:

✔ See where you are in the day’s route
Know exactly how many appointments are ahead of you and where your visit sits in the schedule.

✔ Get a live ETA
Arrival times update automatically based on real traffic conditions.

✔ Be notified when I’m on the way
No guessing — you’ll know when I’m heading towards you.

✔ Let me know if you’re available earlier
If I’m running ahead of schedule, you’ll have the option to let me know if an earlier visit works for you.

✔ Your privacy stays protected
Other patients’ locations are only shown as general areas and never exact addresses.

✔ Secure and temporary access
Once your visit is complete, the tracking link automatically expires.

This is all part of our aim to make ShawScope as convenient, transparent, and professional as possible for home visits across Dorchester, Weymouth, and surrounding areas.

🚨 BIG BUSINESS NEWS… BUILT WHILE THE LITTLE ONE SLEEPS! 👶💻

As many of you know, our beautiful baby boy has arrived and I’m currently taking some time off to be at home with my family. It’s a very special season for us ❤️

But while he’s been sleeping over the past month (and during those quiet late-night feeds!), I’ve secretly been working away in the background…

I’ve designed and built my very own ShawScope website and booking system from scratch.

That means:
✅ No more relying on large companies
✅ No more big monthly outgoings
✅ Full control over how ShawScope works
✅ Everything designed exactly how I want it for you

And honestly… I’m so impressed with it.

🔹 Your information is stored securely with medical-grade security
🔹 We’ve added a travel calculator for anyone outside the 10-mile radius
🔹 The system calculates travel time between appointments so I can reduce downtime and fit more of you into my diary
🔹 New, easier consent forms
🔹 Appointment notifications that are actually helpful

Look what’s arrived ✨🏆

Following my announcement earlier… the official award has now landed!

ShawScope has been recognised as Best Mobile Business and placed in the Top 28 Small Businesses in the UK at the 2025 UK Small Business Awards — and seeing the trophy in person makes it feel even more real.

I’m incredibly proud of how far ShawScope has come. From starting out locally to now being recognised nationally — all while continuing to provide professional ear care in the comfort of your own home across Dorchester, Weymouth and surrounding areas.

Thank you to every single person who has booked, recommended, shared a post or supported the business. It genuinely means everything.

We are now closed during February and March while we (hopefully very soon!) welcome our baby boy home. 💙

Appointments will resume in April, and I’ll respond to all messages as soon as I can during this special time.

Three years ago, on Thursday 19th January 2023, ShawScope officially passed all training and assessments—and what a journey it’s been since!

From those early days to now, the last 3 years have been packed with learning, growth, community support, and countless home visits. I’m incredibly proud of how far ShawScope has come and so grateful to every single person who has trusted me with their care along the way 💙

Here’s to the progress so far… and to an even more exciting future ahead. I genuinely can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings! ✨

🤍 A little ShawScope Update 🤍

Our baby boy was due on 3rd March, but our little pickle decided he couldn’t wait to meet us 🥰

Because he’s arrived early and is so tiny, he needs to stay in hospital a little longer with mummy and daddy to build up his strength for the big wide world. He is doing really well and is being very well looked after.

ShawScope will continue part-time as usual, offering 1–2 days a week, with availability shown on our website. Once he is ready to come home, ShawScope will then be closed for approximately two months while we give him all of our time and attention.

A huge thank you to my customers who were so patient this week after last-minute cancellations — everyone should now be rebooked in.

Mummy and baby are both doing extremely well, and we truly appreciate all of your kind messages and well wishes 💙
