What a man experiences in 24 hours, a woman experiences in a month

🌞 Men are solar - they follow a daily rhythm aligned with the sun’s rise and set, with energy & focus peaking midday and slowly dipping into the evening

🌙Women are lunar - we ebb and flow and follow a monthly cycle just as the moon follows a 28.5 day cycle

Women cannot be expected to show up the same every single day, we are biologically different to men. When we bring an awareness of our cycle into our daily living, we can make small, subtle shifts to support our energy, creativity & vitality ✨

03/01/2026

Research has shown the average woman is using 168 different chemical ingredients every single day & for men it is an average of 68 👀

Now add to that
☕️ coffee on an empty stomach
🏋🏼‍♀️ fasted workouts
😓chronic stress
💤 poor sleep
🍔 foods laden with chemicals

You get the picture

Our hormones don’t know the difference between emotional, physical and chemical stress - stress is stress to the body

And when your body is having to cope with this on the daily, we see it in our cycles
⏰ irregular cycles
⚡️ PMS
😔 low mood
📏 stubborn weight
etc etc

Just some simple swaps to your morning routine can massively reduce the load on your nervous system - non toxic deodorant, making an exfoliator out of honey and sugar water & opting for coconut oil as a moisturiser are some of my faves 💗

Your self care routine doesn’t need to go out of the window, just having an awareness of what you are putting on your body is the key to empowerment 🔑

Your liver has a lot to answer for when it comes to menstrual cycle symptoms and signs and brown blood & clots are most often your liver trying to get your attention

Whether you look from a more eastern or western perspective, brown blood & clots tend to indicate that your liver isn’t able to do its job to the fullest and there may be some stagnation

Simple lifestyle shifts such as daily movement, prioritising leafy greens and drinking ginger tea, particularly in your luteal phase are all ways tos support your liver and in turn your cycles ❤️

Apologies if you swiped looking for the 7 step routine to heal your hormones 👀

I hate to be the one to tell you but any numbered step routine which claims to heal your hormones likely ain’t it

What is going to help your heal is softness, slowness, intention and trust ✨

Focusing on hitting your protein goals shouldn’t just be for the gym gyals, it should be for every single women 🥩

Having a high protein diet is essential for optimal hormone and cycle health and ensuring 30g of protein is hit at every meal (bfast, lunch & dinner) is a good way of ensuring you’re doing exactly that

Chances are if you are lifting or doing hardcore exercise your bod will need even more but that will be bioindividual to your needs 🤓

Your hormones need a little extra TLC during the cold weather and shorter days in order to thrive

Here are some simple ways you can support both your hormones and menstrual cycles over the weeks to come:

🫖 herbal teas - good quality herbal teas provide nutrients, support digestion and help to keep the body warm which is essential for healthy blood flow
🐑 prioritise sleep - winter is all about slowing down and resting, just as nature is currently doing
🌅 watch the sunrise & sunset to support your circadian rhythm
🍜 cook warming, nourishing foods to stay nourished and warm
🌲 nature walks - gentle movement in the colder months can help support your body
🧦 keep your hands and feet warm - keeping your body warm is essential if you want to support healthy blood flow and easeful periods
🧘🏼‍♀️ yin yoga & meditation - encourage slowing down & gentle movement
🫧 essential oil & salt baths - winter is the perfect time for self care
🔥 heat therapy - anything and everything to stay warm

A few weeks of living a true life of leisure

Week 4 of redundancy and what I thought would be a time of me going stir crazy, has been some of the most freeing, creative, inspiring and fun weeks of this year

Lots of nature time, tea sipping, weekly pain au chocolates, visioning, cooking, reading, gymming and doing whatever the hell I want 🪩🦋✨

Roll on the next few weeks of FREEDOM

Regular ovulation is VITAL for women’s health

For so long women have been gaslit into believing that unless you want to get pregnant, ovulation isn’t necessary

What this information fails to tell you is that ovulation is a monthly process which is just as necessary as liver detoxification, excretion and any other bodily process your body performs

Ovulation is necessary for progesterone to be produced - a hormone that is linked to mood, sleep, bone health, circulation and fertility

When we stop ovulation, our risk of developing anything from sleep issues to anxiety, depression and osteoporosis increase

This isn’t about demonising hormonal contraception or putting fear into women, it’s about ensuring women are fully informed and empowered by their choices, and chances are, you can’t feel this if the only information you have received is from a 5 minute doctors appt 👀

Cycle tracking is a powerful tool to start tracking your cycle and ovulation, an indicator that your body is happy, healthy and thriving 🦋✨
