As I lie here, still, listening to the sound of my breath, you find me
Fill me, take over my body
I can hear your thoughts and you mine, are you me?
Or something greater
Your voice changes
Your energy changes with mine
Is it I? Or something from outside
These words that whirl worlds inside my mind and make me laugh and cry
Are you moving me?
Opening channels, carving canals, eroding rivers to your ocean of blissful, eternal, self loving ecstasy
Who are you
What are you
Something divine
Unspeakable
Truth
I submit, I am your puppet,
I trust you
I watch and observe the beauty you make of my world
Are you me?
Your hands guide, eyes wide shut you release me
Give me time and space to heal to process and analyse all that I feel
You free me from the past so that I can look forward unbound by those previous struggles and circumstance
So that I can honestly smile, laugh and dance
I am whole because of you
Whatever you are
Unfathomable truth
Abundant love
Infinite forgiveness
Gratitude
Are you god?
Are you me?

I invite you into my life, where I’m happy, but you respectfully decline
I’m your guest now, you my host
You’ll look after me
Wine me dine me 69 me

Guide me through your world,
Closing curtains to the vistas not meant for my eyes

You share with me your most precious pieces and I smile

You sparkle; perfection

But with more and more blinds down
The room is dark and I must shine my own light to see

What you’ve shown isn’t truth but lies

A wolf dressed not as sheep but whatever I want you to be

With time I see the threads of your costume wearing thin

Receive glimpses of what really lies within

I turn to run and you grab for me, please stay, I love you

But you don’t know me you don’t know yourself. You’ve got so many hats and so many masks you’ve forgotten how it feels to be naked in your own skin

Im free now, in my world, my thoughts are mine, I forgive you, I’m happy, thank you

Hello you beautiful soul,

Moving on from last week we are going to delve into the first limb of yoga; Yama but first to recap….. ☀️🧡🙌

The eight limbs of yoga are Yama (abstinences), niyama (observances), asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation) and samadhi (absorption) 🙌

Yama is the first limb of yoga. It refers to five abstinences or refraining from the activities that are considered unethical based on your understanding.

The five Yamas listed below are considered the most important by many schools of yoga.

Ahimsa; non-violence towards yourself and other living beings ✌️

Satya; honesty and integrity in speech, thought and action 👍🏻

Asteya; non-stealing of anything that does not belong to you 😇
Brahmacharya means respecting the need and privacy of others ✊

Aparigraha; non-hoarding – physical or mental.🧹

Have you heard of these before? Do you feel you are more drawn to certain ones? Why?

We’ll be delving further into the yamas over the next few weeks.

I’m looking forward to seeing you at my class in Himbleton Village Hall for some self-loving ☯ yoga on Tuesday’s 6:30-7.30 PM and Thursday’s 6-7 PM.
If you can’t make them in person join me on Mondays online via Zoom from 9:30 - 10:30 AM (DM me for more info!)

Sending you all the good vibes and peace

SO much love Aimee ###############

Feeling hot hot hot ☀️🔥🌻

Have you managed to take a dip anywhere nice?

My paddling pool has turned into a not so enticing human sized sizzling soup bowl…

Anywhooooo let’s talk yoga,

This is how yoga helps relieve chronic pain….

One of the greatest benefits of yoga is that it can help ease pain and make it easier to manage.

Pain perception

Yoga can decrease pain perception, meaning that people feel their pain is less strong and severe than it was before. In one study, a form of mindfulness meditation called yoga nidra helped combat veterans achieve moderately important to statistically significant reductions in pain perception.

Inflammation

Inflammation is often associated with chronic pain conditions, especially auto immune diseases. Research suggests that yoga can reduce inflammation by decreasing the body’s stress response.

Flexibility and Range of Motion

Experiencing chronic pain can make it difficult to stay active, which can result in decreased flexibility and limited range of motion. Yoga can provide short term improvements in functional disability among people with chronic low back pain CLBP). Specifically, a meta-analysis showed that people who practiced yoga regularly for at least six weeks reported reductions in pain and improvements in mobility. Interestingly, the benefits of yoga persisted across varying styles, including, but not limited to Iyengar, hatha, and viniyoga.2

Join us at my class in Himbleton Village Hall for some pain soothing goodness that is yoga on Tuesday’s 6:30-7.30 PM and Thursday’s 6-7 PM.

If you can’t make them in person join me on Mondays online via Zoom from 9:30 - 10:30 AM (DM me for more info!)

Sending you all some cooolll vibes and lots of love 🥰😍😘
