✅ Emergency First Aid Training in Walsall!

This week, ProSkills Training Academy delivered an Emergency First Aid at Work and Paediatric Emergency First Aid course in Walsall. It was fantastic to see such strong engagement from participants, all keen to develop the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in real-life emergencies.

During the training, we covered essential modules such as:

Changes to Driving Theory Test

From 2026, the UK driving theory test will include questions on CPR and how to use a defibrillator (AED). The goal? To make sure more drivers have the knowledge and confidence to act in a cardiac emergency – and potentially save lives.

🟢 Community Outreach Update – Knife Crime Awareness🟢

At ProSkills Training Academy, we believe our responsibility goes beyond training – it extends into serving and supporting our community.

Recently, we were honoured to take part in an important community discussion around knife crime and youth safety, organised through the fantastic outreach platform provided by Dawat-e-Islami Midlands UK. Their ongoing commitment to tackling social issues and providing safe spaces for dialogue is truly commendable.

During the session, we worked on dispelling dangerous myths, including the misconception that there is such a thing as a "safe place" to stab someone. Through medical imaging, it was powerfully demonstrated that while a stab wound may look small and limited on the outside, the internal damage can be catastrophic. What to do in the event of a stabbing and tackling the underlying causes as to why youngsters feel like they have to grab a knife and more

This event was attended by key figures, including the Deputy Police Commissioner, youth workers, trauma surgeons, and community leaders, all coming together with one purpose: to protect and guide our young people towards safer futures.

At ProSkills, we are proud to play our part in these conversations as part of our community outreach work, ensuring our skills and knowledge also serve to protect lives outside of the classroom.
Together with strong partnerships and continued education, we can help prevent tragedy and give our youth better choices.
