A few weeks ago, I had the rare and humbling experience of holding space for 50 men inside Oregon State Penitentiary — as a guest of the incredible (Getting Out by Going In).
We gathered in their memorial garden — a quiet sanctuary inside the prison — to explore the often unspoken emotion of rage, and the deeper layers it protects: pain, fear, grief, memory.
For many of the men, it was the first time they had meditated with eyes closed, together, in a group. Using belly breathing, stillness, and sound, we created space to feel. To listen. To release. Flow in this setting wasn’t easeful — it was earned. Through courage. Vulnerability. Presence.
This work isn’t about “fixing” anyone. It’s about offering tools, restoring dignity, and creating conditions for healing — even in systems not built for it.

I’m deeply grateful to the men who showed up fully. To the GOGI team. And to the quiet reminder that healing can happen anywhere.

As a guest of GOGI, I create soundscapes embedded with LIFE TOOLS created by the men and women we serve in prisons across America. I then have the honour of facilitating in-person in minimum and maximum security prisons with GOGI students and Coaches. Together, we are changing the sound of rehabilitation and learning how to dream again.

Honoured to represent GOGI and support heroic community organisations helping homeless as young as 14 secure support and short term housing. I had no idea what I was drawing…

But during the Tapping into Intuition through Creativity workshop, these energies flowed through my hands:

Anubis. Osiris. Sekhmet.
Ancient archetypes rising.

The process was channelled, not planned. Later in the group, everyone was invited to reflect on what they saw in each other’s artwork.

I'd love to do the same here, what do you see in this drawing? What’s the energy or message you feel?

This whole experience has cracked something open. I’m learning that intuition is a bridge, between worlds, between dimensions, between who we think we are and who we truly are becoming. We are never drawing alone.

What was meant to be a quick celebratory trip to Las Vegas turned into a full-day soul adventure the next day.

After celebrating our journey so far and seeing the legendary Dita Von Teese, I found myself completely pulled to a place called The Enchanted Forest. I followed that pull.

With Lisa and Coach heading home, I stayed solo in Vegas, diving into a full day of workshops:

- Tapping into Intuition through Creativity
- Mystic Journey Shamanic Sound Bath
- Multi-dimensional Healing Circle
- House of the Art of Dreams with Don Jose Ruiz + Don Miguel Ruiz (The Four Agreements)

Each offering was a portal. Each moment, an initiation.

At the end of the day, I Uber’d to the airport, caught a shuttle to Utah, and then faced my biggest challenge: driving myself alone in the pitch black for the first time ever. An hour through winding roads and total darkness… And I did it. Terrified, I sang "The Flumps" theme song the entire way.

This is what freedom is looking like for me right now, facing fear and doing it anyway.

This is what collaboration looks like.

We had the honour of working with over 120 men across two days at Ironwood State Prison. Pictured here from left to right: GOGI Coach Taylor, Coach Carlson (Head of GOGI media), an ISP staff member who leads the GOGI Packet Program at ISP, myself and Lisa Butcher.

From packet-based learning to immersive sound meditation with GOGI RADIO, we’re seeing what’s possible when transformation is supported from both inside and out. This was our first time delivering GOGI RADIO in person at Ironwood, the soundscape embodiment of the GOGI LIFE TOOLS, TOOLS OF CHOICE, peace, and possibility. The inmates have the option to access the soundscapes through their Edovo tablets in their cells for self-study.

To witness these men soften, open, and connect to peace through sound was profound.

We are humbled to walk beside them.
We are learning every step of the way.

Thank you to GOGI (Getting Out by Going In) for over 25 years of paving the way for this work, and for inviting us to expand it through the soundscape of the TOOLS OF CHOICE.

This was written by one of 120 men we worked with in 120f heat at a California State prison. One participant said this work is “necessary to heal the soul.” Another shared how, for the first time, he felt safe, still, and free.

We were invited in by GOGI (Getting Out by Going In), whose 25-year legacy of transformation inside U.S. prisons made this possible. Now, students have the opportunity to experience the next evolution of GOGI’s tools: GOGI RADIO, a sound meditation of the TOOLS OF CHOICE to support inner calm and integration of the GOGI LIFE TOOLS.

The students are showing us how to step into deeper, more heart-led facilitation.

We’re listening.
We’re learning.
We’re grateful.
