If youāve ever met me, youāll probably know Iām quite impulsive and tend to start things and quickly lose interest when it gets too overwhelming š¤£
I dropped out of Dundee university when I went to study Politics and International Relations which made me feel so lost. It took a few years to realise what I wanted to do, struggling with my mental health, in constant pain and feeling stuck in a cycle I hated.
I turned to rehabilitation exercise which improved my physical AND mental health, getting away from all the medication the doctor threw my way(š) and started to understand more about my body. I decided āif I can help one person shift from my old mindset to my current mindset, Iāll be the happiest person aliveā. Thanks to so many amazing people Iāve met, treated, learned from (big shout out to Laura for teaching me almost everything I know), I have by far exceeded my expectations.
In 2022, I enrolled at UHI Perth and began my degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation. My favourite thing about my course is although Iām doing it for 4 years, thereās an exit route after every year (useful for me as I didnāt know if Iād be able to commit to 4 years with my track record)
Which brings me to the point of this long post..
I have officially finished my second year and received my results in the post today, which I have passed this year with an A! āļø
Thankfully, I still wake up every day genuinely believing that this is the most amazing job and I am nowhere near the end. This certificate just gives me that little push to get my honours degree (& then my postgradš¤£)
