Taking a little pause 🤍

I’m heading off for a much-needed mini break from Friday to Sunday — a wee chance to rest, reset, and fill my cup. I won’t be on messages, emails or socials until I’m back.

There’s something really special about swapping sides of the mat every now and then.

Yesterday, I had the absolute joy of being the student — my friend is currently deep in his yoga teacher training and invited me along to one of his practice classes.

It was such a treat to be guided through his beautiful Vinyasa flow — thoughtful cues, steady pacing, a few spicy moments that definitely challenged me (and made us both laugh!), and that unmistakable feeling of presence that only yoga brings.

He’s an absolute natural. You can tell how much heart and understanding he pours into it — not just the shapes, but the history, philosophy, and why of it all. 💛

So proud of him already, and can’t wait to roll out my mat with him again next week. A magic hour. ✨

November Nidra is coming… 💤✨

As the nights draw in and life starts speeding up (hiya festive to-do lists 👋), Wednesday evenings in November are getting an extra dose of rest.

Each Wednesday 7–8:15pm Yoga class will now finish with a guided Yoga Nidra — yogic sleep — a deeper, slower, more nourishing rest than your usual Savasana.
Think of it as meditation’s cosy, dreamy cousin.

💭 Expect:
Movement to melt tension
Breath to soften the mind
Space to exhale the day
Then… a sprinkle of Nidra magic ✨

Because busy season doesn’t need your hustle — it needs your nervous system to feel safe, soothed, and supported. And I want you rested, not frazzled.

✨ 8 Years ✨

Some people plan their business anniversaries months in advance…

…and then there’s people like me who remember at 8pm on a Saturday night and think, “Whoa — eight years?!” 😂

Eight years ago my mum, dad and sister helped me find a little space, set up my very first social media page, and fill the room for a tiny side-hustle yoga class.

One night a week.

Mats, bricks, blocks and all my hopes in the boot of my car.

Zero clue where it might lead — just a lot of heart (and a whole lot of nerves).

Fast-forward to today: full-time yoga & Pilates teacher, 16 classes a week, and somehow living the life I dreamed about but didn’t really believe I could have.

To my family, and to every single student who has ever stepped on the mat with me — past and present — thank you. You’ve shaped this journey more than you know 💛

Here’s to movement, community, courage, and believing in the little beginnings ✨🫶

We’ll begin the evening with an hour of restorative yoga — slow, supported movement to soothe the mind, ease away tension, and help you unwind from the week. ✨

Sometimes the simplest practices make the biggest difference. 🌿

In yoga, we use breathing practises— pranayama — as a way to calm the nervous system and quiet the mind. Breathing slowly and mindfully through the nose (if that’s available for you) helps stimulate the vagus nerve — the body’s natural pathway to the “rest and digest” state. It’s how we move out of stress and back into balance.

If you’re feeling caught up or anxious today, try this:

✨ Inhale through your nose for a slow count of 3
✨ Exhale gently through your nose for a count of 6
✨ Repeat for one minute — or longer if it feels good

If 3 and 6 feels too long, try 2 and 4 instead — it’s the ratio that matters, not the numbers. That longer exhale is what helps to calm the body and settle the mind.

You’re not turning away from life’s chaos — you’re gently turning toward your breath. In that small act of awareness, space opens up, calm settles in, and peace begins to return.

Inhale calm, exhale chaos. 💨
