The Arts Society Saffron Walden has once again delighted us with a fantastic activity pack! Our residents thoroughly enjoyed getting creative and crafting their own Easter decorations. It was lovely to see such enthusiasm and imagination. Their beautiful handmade creations have added the perfect finishing touch to our dining room just in time for Easter. 🐣🌼

April brings a fresh new theme to our home — Spring Watch! As the days grow brighter and flowers begin to bloom, our residents are enjoying the benefits of the season in ways that suit them best.
For those who love the outdoors, gentle walks in the fresh air offer a wonderful chance to stay active, soak up the sunshine, and reconnect with nature. 🌼
Residents who prefer to stay indoors are also enjoying a variety of themed activities from creative arts and crafts inspired by nature to word searches, crosswords, and group discussions about the changing season.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the Great Dunmow Community Big Voices choir back to our home! 💙🎶
Their passion, energy and joy filled every corner, creating such a warm and uplifting atmosphere. Our residents had a wonderful time, not only listening but also joining in and singing along together.
A huge thank you to the choir for sharing their talent and spreading so much happiness. We can’t wait to see you again soon!

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful members of our local Baptist Church for hosting such a beautiful and meaningful Easter service for our residents.
It truly meant so much for everyone to be able to take part in the service and visit the church. Celebrating this special Easter time together brought moments of reflection, togetherness, and a real sense of community that our residents really appreciated.

We had a fantastic day out on our recent minibus trip to Saffron Walden, where our residents enjoyed a visit to the local library 📚
It was a real pleasure to see everyone exploring the shelves, sharing memories of much-loved books and finding new stories to enjoy. The calm and cosy atmosphere made it the perfect spot to relax, read, and spend quality time together.

We had a lovely time at yesterday’s coffee morning celebrating St Patrick’s Day ☘️

Our residents enjoyed sampling traditional Irish treats, including white pudding, potato bread, and of course Guinness 0.0%. Keeping with the theme, we played St Patrick’s Day picture bingo, which brought plenty of smiles, with Irish music playing in the background.

It was a truly enjoyable morning filled with great company, fun activities, and a fantastic atmosphere 💚

We offer exercise sessions, including leg exercises, a few times per week to help keep everyone active.
These sessions help improve strength, mobility, and balance, while also providing a great opportunity for our residents to stay active and enjoy time together as a group.
