I am an Occupational Therapist. I first was introduced to Hypnotherapy around 3 years ago. I had lived with crippling Social Anxiety for 40 years of my life. It impacted my whole life and stopped me living life to the full. I avoided social situations as much as possible but as a mother of 5 there was some things I had no choice but to attend. Parents evenings at school, waiting for my children in the school yard and attending their hobbies caused me so much stress. I would sweat, shake, my throat would go dry and feel like it was closing up. I could not take in what I was being told as my mind would go completely blank and often was unable to actually speak. I would try but no words would come out. I always tried to improve myself and read books about different techniques I could try to reduce the symptoms, I always tried them but I would often feel worse afterwards as I would feel like I looked silly. In 2018 I landed my dream job working in a social services department, I loved my job but often felt like I struggled to communicate with other professionals. I made the decision there and then I would find the help I needed to overcome this. I never thought I could be rid of this totally as i had been like this all my life but I thought it could be managed better. That's when I came across a guy who was an Anxiety specialist, he included Hypnotherapy techniques in our sessions and the improvements I experienced in such a short period of time where amazing. Ever since I have been hooked on Hypnotherapy, I now want to help others overcome negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours so they can live life to the full. My sessions are mostly completed online so it doesn't matter where you live in the world we can work together.
