People who know me, know that I work in 2 different profession, one is the work in music industry, my beloved office job with all my lovely and clever team mates. The other, I don't call profession or job, its the call to support women in pregnancy, labour and birth born from my own experience of becoming a mother. I can't stress enough how important it is to LISTEN to women when they become mothers! Women have a natural instinct to birth their babies, like every mammal has. This instinct is rooted deep in a woman's brain.
What happens when we stop trusting our natural ability to birth is childbirth has become increasingly influenced by medical technology, and now medical intervention is the norm for women all over the world who pay a high price on their physical and mental health. I strongly believe that women can birth peacefully and healthy when they inform themselves, trust in their body to birth, with the right support team, and feeling loved and supported.
