🌴🇧🇷 Our residents were transported to Brazil today with a vibrant Brazilian-themed lunchtime! 🇧🇷🌴

They enjoyed a delicious spread of slow-cooked pork, black beans, and all the festive flavors — surrounded by colorful decor that brought the spirit of Brazil to life. Great food, great company! 💃🍴🎉

👵👶 Intergenerational Joy in Action! 🌼💫

Today was extra special at Alexander House as we welcomed some very tiny, very cheerful visitors 🧸

Our residents shared crafts and played games and also plenty of smiles with the wonderful nursery children. It was heartwarming to see the generations come together—learning, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company. 💛

Moments like these remind us just how powerful connection can be, no matter your age. 🫶

We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🌟

🌟 Alexander House Weekly Round-Up! 🌟

It’s been another busy and fun-filled week here at Alexander House! 🏡💙

🧩 We kept our minds sharp with puzzles and Scrabble, building up our cognition while enjoying some friendly competition.

🍓 In the kitchen, we whipped up some delicious homemade trifles, showing off our cooking skills (and sweet tooth!).

🎨 Creativity was flowing during arts and crafts, as we worked together on a beautiful group display.

🌊 And to top it all off, we soaked up some fresh air and sunshine on our lovely beach trips.

Smiles, laughter, and teamwork made this week extra special. 💫 Here’s to more memories together!

🍓🍰 Homemade Trifles for Pudding! 🍰🍓

Our residents had a wonderful time today making their very own trifles – and of course, enjoying them afterwards! 😋

This simple activity brought lots of smiles and laughter, but it also has some amazing benefits:
✨ Encourages creativity and independence
✨ Stimulates memory through familiar recipes and flavours
✨ Provides gentle physical activity through mixing and layering
✨ Builds social connections as everyone shares their creations

Most importantly, it gave everyone a sweet sense of achievement (and a very tasty dessert!). 🥄💖

We love seeing our residents enjoying hands-on activities like this – and we think you’ll agree, the results look delicious!

🍂 Weekly Round-Up at Alexander House 🍂

What a wonderful week we’ve had! Our residents have been busy enjoying a mix of activities that truly celebrated the season and community spirit:

🎨 Autumn-themed arts & crafts – with leaf collages getting our creativity flowing!
🚶‍♀️ Refreshing walks to the beach, where the sea air and gentle waves lifted everyone’s spirits.
🎲 Fun-filled bingo and community board games, sparking laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles.
☕️ And to finish the week in style, we gathered together for a cream tea party – delicious scones, jam, and cream, paired with good company.

Here’s to another week of joy, togetherness, and happy memories at Alexander House. ❤️
