Friday is an opportunity to recognise the positive feedback we receive for our dedicated screeners, who consistently go the extra mile to provide a welcoming and supportive service.

Why are eye drops used during your screening?

We use them to gently dilate (widen) your pupils so we can take clear, detailed images of the back of your eye. This helps us spot any early signs of changes and keep your eyes healthy.

Hypoglycaemia is when your blood sugar (glucose) level drops below normal.

Glucose is the main source of energy for your body, especially your brain, so low levels can cause symptoms quickly.

For quick treatment, use fast acting carbohydrates like:
- Fruit Juice
- Glucose tablets
- 5 Jelly Babies
- Fizzy Drinks, such as Coca Cola (not diet)
