Turning on NHS App notifications is a simple way to help the NHS save money while staying informed about your healthcare. 💙

Notifications can remind you about appointments, test results, prescriptions and important updates, helping reduce missed appointments and unnecessary letters or texts.

Using the NHS App makes it easier to manage your health in one place, saves time for NHS services and helps resources be used where they are needed most. Making this small change can have a big impact for you and the NHS. 📱

Did you know, your liver performs over 500 jobs to keep you alive? So, it’s important to show it some love! When it’s damaged, the liver can repair itself, but only up to a point. Sadly, people with liver disease often don’t have any symptoms until the disease has progressed and it’s far too late for treatment. So, look after your liver with these top tips:

• Focus on a balanced diet
• Stay hydrated
• Minimise alcohol
• Take the correct dosage of medications
• Ensure safe hygiene to reduce the risk of hepatitis

❄️ Winter Pressures: A Reminder to Be Kind 💙

As we enter one of the busiest periods of the year, our whole team is working exceptionally hard to support patients through winter illnesses, seasonal viruses, and high demand across the NHS.

We fully understand that delays and limited appointment availability can be frustrating — especially when you or your family are unwell. However, in recent weeks we’ve seen a rise in rude, aggressive, and unkind behaviour towards both our reception staff and clinicians.

👉 Our reception team and clinical staff are here to help you.
👉 They follow essential processes to ensure you get the safest, most appropriate care.
👉 They do not deserve to face disrespect, raised voices, or aggression.

Verbal abuse towards any member of our team will not be tolerated.

A small act of patience or kindness can make a huge difference — especially during the winter months when the entire NHS is under immense pressure.

Thank you for treating our team with the respect they deserve so we can continue providing the best care possible.

Feeling the chill this winter? Keeping warm is essential for your well-being and health. Here are a few tips on warming up when it’s cold outside:

• Reduce draughts where you can
• Layer up – wear lots of layers of thinner clothing
• Cover extremities – hats, gloves, thick socks and scarves
• Eat healthily with plenty of hot drinks
• Avoid alcohol
• Keep moving

Keeping the cold at bay can help you to stay healthy over these wintry months.
