📌 FPHC National Teaching Programme: Remote & Rural Pre-Hospital Care🩺
20/02/23
1830-2100h GMT
Join us free, in person or online, for the first instalment of this hybrid programme led by the FPHC Student and Junior Trainee Group.
The first session, facilitated by Dr Kat Ganly, focuses on the provision of pre-hospital care in remote and rural environments.
Kat is a PHEM/EM Senior Clinical Fellow with EMRTS and Ysbyty Gwynedd in North Wales. She is an ex-endurance runner and experienced expedition medic. She also spent 18 months in the Antarctic and subantarctic where she was a remotely stationed doctor working for the British Antarctic Survey. She has recently completed a MSc in Global and Remote Health and has recently been made a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
The two-part session will see a presentation, available to attend in person or online, followed by a remote medicine-themed sim circuit in Bangor Hospital's custom simulation centre.
**Sim tickets are very limited; timely booking advised!**
Students & junior trainees across medicine, nursing & paramedicine warmly welcomed.
The series aims are threefold, to expose students and trainees to the technical and non-technical aspects of prehospital care provision by:
📌Encouraging multidisciplinary learning together for working together.
📌Connecting current and future PHEM practitioners across grades and disciplines to foster interprofessional relationships.
📌Providing a curricula-linked, practical approach to learning for career progression.
We look forward to seeing or meeting you there.
