A post about our judgment.
And our way of perceiving things.
When you claim you understand something,
If you haven't stripped away
The experiences, the situations, the judgements
Of how things should have happened,
The thoughts that lead you to believe you know it all,
You understand nothing.
We often project
What we believe we know
Onto situations at hand.
'It happened before,
This must be the same.'
And it's not always the case.
Our brain is wired to convert experiences
Into lessons.
To minimise the effort of having to think
About a similar situation in the future.
To save energy, to protect us,
To preserve us as species.
In the same way, habits are formed.
Your judgment is not absolute.
When was the last time when you re-evaluated
Your values, your beliefs,
Checked in with yourself
To see who you have become?
Because we tend to carry with us,
Judgements and misjudgements
Since we were children.
A 5 years old trapped in a 30 years old body.
To put it plainly, that's what is called immaturity.
Of course,
We don't like to be called immature,
'Cause now we're responsible adults,
We drive, we go to work, we vote,
We make our own decisions.
But honestly,
Who's really in charge of all those decisions,
Of all what we believe we have to prove,
To become?
Take time and reflect,
Because it's your duty,
To grow up,
to positively contribute to the collective,
To help the Consciousness expand.
Or...take no time,
And be a mouse trapped in the wheel
Of heartbreaks, failures and deceptions.
