Call-In Homecare

Call-In Homecare Call-In Homecare is a leading Care at Home provider across Scotland. We’re one of only two organisations in Scotland to achieve the award.

Call-In Homecare provides flexible, person-centred support services to allow individuals to live a dignified, independent life tailored to their needs and aspirations. We are committed to improving the well-being and quality of life for the service users we support. Our services are based on choice and control, personalisation and being a part of the community. We are fully registered with the Care Inspectorate, Scottish Care and are members of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA). We’re incredibly proud to share the news that Call-In Homecare has been awarded with the Social Value Quality Mark Level 1. This is a respected accreditation that recognises the value we create for our customers, staff and communities. As care providers, we aim to create the highest quality of life for all – this extends beyond the people we care for, to the communities we operate in.

Well done Glasgow team! ✨

Our Glasgow Care Assistant, Laura, has been with us for 22 years! She has received a recognition award for being highly competent in her role. She is constantly going above and beyond, and is often the first to spot and respond to any changes in our service users’ needs. Her dedication speaks volumes, with one service user always asking for Laura whenever she’s away on holiday, a true testament to the trust and care she provides. Thank you, Laura, for 22 years of outstanding commitment.

Our Care Assistants, AJ and Gurpreet have also been recognised for their fantastic teamwork, both going above and beyond in their role, with clients continually praising them both.

Well done team, we are super proud of you all! 💜

Well done Karina! 🌟

Our Edinburgh North Care Assistant, Karina, has been nominated for recognition by her fellow colleague, Ashley.

They worked a challenging two‑person run together, and throughout the shift she was consistently brilliant with every client. She showed clear rapport, kindness, and encouragement, always offering reassurance and comfort when it was needed.

Karina also demonstrated real dedication by preparing in advance for the morning visits, helping the run start smoothly and efficiently. She even offered to go above and beyond her role by suggesting she pick up items a client had run out of, a thoughtful gesture that truly reflects her caring nature.

What stood out most was Karina’s genuine commitment to her clients. While this level of care may feel “everyday” to them, it makes a real difference and deserves to be recognised.
Thank you, Karina, for the compassion and professionalism you bring to Call‑In Homecare, and thank you, Ashley, for the wonderful nomination! 💜

⭐ Edinburgh North – Team Recognition ⭐

We’ve received some truly lovely feedback from clients and colleagues, and we’d like to take a moment to recognise the outstanding care and dedication shown by our Edinburgh North team.

Clients have shared how safe, supported, and well cared for they feel, with one describing the service as “100%” and expressing how reassuring it is to know they are always in capable hands. One client gave special thanks to Mary, who stayed with them following a fall, ensuring they were comfortable and supported until the Falls Team arrived - a compassionate act that meant a great deal at a difficult time.

Long‑standing clients have also praised the consistency and kindness of their care teams, highlighting how important it is to feel settled with familiar carers who bring smiles, listen, and always look out for their wellbeing. Families have shared heartfelt thanks for carers including Jackie, Morgan, Rebecca, George, Bev, Beata, Tawny, Michele, Lesley, and Bell, recognising the exceptional care, patience, and emotional insight shown every day.

To everyone in the Edinburgh North team - thank you for your compassion, professionalism, and dedication. Your care truly makes a difference and does not go unnoticed. 💜

⭐ Edinburgh South – Congratulations on Your SVQ Achievement ⭐
We’d also like to congratulate Romeo Akosah, who works on the night shift in the South, on successfully achieving his SVQ qualification.
This is a fantastic achievement and reflects Romeo’s commitment to developing his skills and delivering high‑quality care. Well done, Romeo, and thank you for your continued dedication and hard work!

🌟 Well Done Glasgow Team! 🌟

Our Glasgow Coordinator, Ylenia, recently worked closely with a service user's family during a challenging time, ensuring concerns were listened to, acted on promptly, and handled with care. She has been praised for her consistent professionalism, compassion, and clear communication. Her commitment to both service users and staff has helped rebuild trust and made a significant impact to their experience of our service.

We also want to commend our Care Assistant, Brogan, for her outstanding vigilance during a recent visit. After noticing unfamiliar individuals near our service user’s key safe, Brogan acted immediately to prevent access, remained on site to ensure safety, and followed all procedures by contacting the office and supporting the police. Her calm, quick thinking potentially prevented a very serious situation.

Following this, Ylenia took immediate action by instructing a code change and issuing guidance to all staff to reinforce key‑safe safety measures.

We are incredibly proud of Ylenia and Brogan, and of the wider team, including our Quality Officer Sam, who has been praised for “being a delight to talk to”. Well done team for putting safety, dignity, and professionalism first. Their actions truly reflect the values of Call‑In Homecare and the standard of care we strive to provide every day. 💜

Today we are also wishing all our Christian colleagues, friends, and service users a blessed and meaningful Lent. 🙏

May this season of reflection, renewal, and compassion bring peace and strength to you and your loved ones.

Did you know?! Lent lasts for 40 days to reflect the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert, a time symbolising preparation, focus, and spiritual growth.

Whether you observe Lent through prayer, fasting, reflection, acts of kindness, or simply taking a moment to pause, we’re thinking of you. ⛪
