Did you know that one in two unpaid carers in Scotland say that one of their biggest challenges is not knowing what help is available or how to access it?

3 in 5 people are likely to become a carer at some point in their lives. Carers tell us that when they know their rights and use their rights, they can ask the questions that help them find support, even when time or understanding are in short supply.

This is why we created two key resources:
πŸ“– Carers Information Book, to understand your rights and how to navigate caring responsibilities.
πŸ“– A Menu of Questions for Carers, in collaboration with Carers Trust Scotland, offering a simple framework to guide conversations, while ensuring your views and wellbeing are part of the care process.

πŸ”— Links to both documents can be found in the comments.

When Mike lost the people who made joy possible, his world became grey and dull.

It was support like our Resilience service that helped him show that life is meaningful, helping him take small, steady steps to lighten the load and get back into a routine.

This International Men’s Day, we want every man and boy to have someone beside them, so they never have to face any moments alone.

The internet connects and inspires but being a young person today means living between two worlds: the online and the offline.

This International Students’ Day, we asked Edinburgh College students to share what helps them stay balanced and protect their mental health in a world that never logs off.

Their voices show that young people understand what supports and harms their mental health. Even in a world that can feel chaotic or overwhelming, they recognise that balance is possible. It can be found by not just switching off completely, but in learning when to pause, connect and care for themselves with intention.

It's not hard to feel the effects of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) after the clock changes.

Reduced sunlight increases chances of social withdrawal and fatigue. That's why it's so important to get outside during that daytime window for some natural light and air. Stay active and social, and maintain a consistent routine of doing the things you enjoy.

🧠 University of Glasgow developed resources on how to tackle SAD called 'Wintering Well' and 'Living Life to the Full'

πŸ’¬ Tell us in the comments how you combat feelings and symptoms of SAD in the winter months.

Some of Stafford Centre's finest artists made their way to this year's Out Of Sight Out Of Mind Exhibition at Edinburgh's Summerhall to view their work on display 🎨

They got to see the extent of their awe-inspiring creativity, from poems to visuals replicating their home life. One of the biggest pieces came from someone who is supported within the Signature Project: a colourful chair and stool called Maude 'the Rocker'.

Here are people who were told they couldn't do art or weren't good at it many years ago. Now, their impressive pieces are being exhibited. That community non-clinical and person-centred support has brought out who they really are: talented individuals!

We celebrate the strong, the stoic, the β€œnae bother" – the men.

Silence. It often shows up in men's mental health. There are numbers we don't really speak about: su***des, addiction and the stories left untold.

Not every man in Scotland gets the help they need with their mental health: either because the help isn't there or they're too stigmatised to get it.

It takes all of us – friends, neighbours, workmates, communities – to notice, listen and speak up before poor mental health impacts another brother, father, colleague or friend.

πŸ†• We've been shortlisted for Edinburgh Airport's Charity of the Year!

Change Mental Health, along with other splendid charities, will be part of an Airport staff vote to choose their next charity partnership. Whichever charity is chosen will have a phenomenal opportunity to be spotlighted where Scotland meets the world! ✈️

If you work at the airport or know someone who does, consider this:

1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem annually. That means for the 17 million travelling through Edinburgh Airport every year, over 4 million will endure those challenges. Your closest colleagues could be facing mental illness every day and you might not know.

It's your chance to change that. Vote for Change Mental Health and make Scotland's busiest airport a gateway to better mental health for all, across communities, across Edinburgh and across the country.

Meet Brian and his two grandsons, Riley and Jamie, who raised Β£1000 after running the Men's 10K in September πŸƒ

They ran in memory of son and dad, Michael, who sadly died by su***de this year.

Through determination and some light injuries, they powered through the streets of Edinburgh and wanted to give back to a service supporting men with their mental health.

We were delighted to show them around the Stafford Centre, our drop-in community resource supporting hundreds of people in Edinburgh.

These fundraising heroes have ensured that more men can get support in a time of need: when they need it and in way which works best for them.

Thank you to Brian, Riley and Jamie πŸ’™

Kirkcaldy's Beveridge Park is now home to a new 'Take Some Breathing Space' bench!

We pulled it together with NHS 24 Breathing Space and Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, with the bench reflecting a shared aim of making mental health part of everyday life in a space that connects people of all ages.

This new symbol of kindness, care and community is hopefully the first of many across Fife. But it couldn't be any more fitting that we helped bring a bench to the heart of Kirkcaldy, which has always been a big part of our story. It's where we have deep roots with services built by local people, for local people.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day and to The Beveridge Park Cafe for the hot drinks!

Nine in ten 17-year-olds pay for things online. Digital spending has made money feel invisible.

Before young people step into adulthood, they need space to explore how thoughts, feelings and digital habits shape the way they spend. By bringing financial education and mental health together, we help them see the emotions behind every transaction and the power in every choice.

It’s time to about money, mindset and wellbeing.

πŸ†• Soon, we'll be sharing the launch of our new Me & Money workshops.
