Happy Easter Monday 🐣

A big thank you to Sainsbury’s in Currie for the beautiful flowers that have brightened up Lorimer House. And of course, a special shoutout to our wonderful residents, who did an amazing job arranging them 🌷

With a weekend full of snow, rain, sleet and hail (with the occasional glimpse of sunshine!), we kept cosy indoors enjoying plenty of games, crafts, laughter and great company.

The Easter countdown is on! ✨🐣

We’ve been getting creative with some Easter bonnet making and the results are looking amazing! Winners from our three homes will be announced on Easter Monday. We’ll be celebrating with a fun parade, where all the bonnets will be on show.

Monday News! 🌟

A big congratulations to our Care Assistants Jon and Jacqueline on achieving their SVQ 2 qualifications. We are so proud of your hard work and dedication.

We also say a heartfelt farewell to Registered General Nurse Reji, who is retiring after eight wonderful years with us. Thank you for your commitment, compassion and the difference you have made to our residents and team.

Oh, how we love a good celebration! From St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans to a lovely Mother’s Day high tea, we’ve had plenty of reasons to come together. And of course, we couldn’t miss celebrating Jean’s incredible birthday last week! 🎉

We’re in full planning mode at Cramond Manor Nursing Home and couldn’t resist sharing a little update… 👀✨

Take a look at some of our beautiful colour schemes for the first and second floors, plus our stunning private dining room. It’s all coming together perfectly!

Set to open in summer 2026, our purpose-built Edinburgh care home will offer:

🤩 Good news Monday 🤩 What better way to start the week than by celebrating the incredible achievements of our dedicated team!

A huge congrats to our amazing Senior Care Assistants, Milani, Nimmi and Jennifer. These three exceptional team members have successfully completed their SVQ3 (Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3) - a fantastic milestone that reflects their commitment to professional development and delivering the highest standards of care to our residents.

We are also incredibly proud of Jovanni from Morningside Manor, Isari from Thorburn Manor and Ivy from Lorimer House. All three have recently passed their OSCE exams and received their NMC nursing registrations, a huge step forward in their nursing careers! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🎉

It’s Denim Day for Dementia! Today our team is proudly wearing denim to support a cause that means so much to us. By taking part in Denim Day for Dementia, we’re helping raise funds for essential dementia support services while also encouraging open conversations about memory health and the early signs of concern.

Dementia touches so many families and awareness, understanding and support can make a real difference. 💙

We’ve been celebrating some truly wonderful milestones here at our care homes! 🎉

A big (and slightly belated!) happy 40th birthday to our fantastic Team Leader in Training, Kirsty! And of course, many happy returns to the lovely Margaret, who celebrated an incredible 98th birthday at Thorburn Manor last week 🥳

We’re also sending huge congratulations to our resident Jemima and her husband Jack on their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. 60 years of marriage and still very much in love ❤️
