Procrastination messed me up… quietly.
Not all at once.
Just bit by bit.
Putting things off that I actually cared about.
Overthinking everything to death.
Saying “I’ll do it later” — and knowing I probably wouldn’t.
And after a while, it wasn’t even about the thing anymore…
It was about me.
I stopped trusting myself.
My confidence took a hit.
My creativity? Gone. Or buried under all the noise.
Because procrastination isn’t laziness.
It’s fear.
It’s overwhelm.
It’s perfectionism being a right pain in the arse.
It keeps you stuck in your head…
Disconnected from who you actually are.
No one really talks about that part.
What got me out of it wasn’t discipline.
It wasn’t “just get on with it” — that never worked for me.
It was creativity.
Messy, unfiltered, no-rules creativity.
Writing absolute s**t in a notebook.
Throwing paint around with no plan.
Moving my body like no one’s watching.
Not to be good.
Not to post it.
Not to turn it into something.
Just to get out of my own head.
And that’s where things shifted.
Tiny steps.
Messy action.
No pressure to get it right.
Because creativity isn’t some fluffy extra.
It’s a lifeline.
And yeah — this is exactly why I created Connect with Creativity.
If you’re stuck in your head, overthinking everything, putting your life on hold…
Come and get messy with me.
Drop me a message or comment “CREATE” and I’ll reach out.
No pressure. No perfection. Just a way back to yourself.
