Why train with me? 🤍

Honestly don’t just take my word for it…

Every training I run is built to be practical, supportive, and genuinely useful in real client work (not just theory you’ll never use again). I create space for questions, discussion, and confidence building so you leave feeling clearer, more capable, and ready to apply what you’ve learned straight away.

Seeing the feedback from past attendees means everything to me because it tells me the training is doing exactly what it’s meant to do...helping therapists feel equipped to better support neurodivergent children, teens, and families.

If you’ve been thinking about joining my next session this is your sign. 🫶

Children’s Mental Health Week continues with the theme “This Is My Place” and I’ve been reflecting on what that really means beyond physical spaces.

A sense of place is something we co-create with children. It’s built through attunement, predictability, and trust. It shows up in how we respond, how we listen, and how we allow children to exist without pressure to perform or conform.

For neurodivergent young people especially, belonging isn’t about fitting into environments, it’s about environments flexing to support their nervous system, communication style, and processing needs.

Sometimes “place” is relational.

It’s the practitioner who adapts their language.
The parent who honours regulation before expectation.
The classroom that allows pacing, movement, or quiet.
The therapy space that prioritises connection over correction.

When we shift from asking “How does this child fit here?” to “How can this space hold this child?” we change outcomes.

That mindset sits at the heart of neuro affirming support, and it’s something worth carrying beyond this awareness week 🤍.

🌟 Children’s Mental Health Week 2026

🏡 Theme: This Is My Place

💫 Neurodivergent Edition – honouring the spaces where ND children feel safe, regulated and completely themselves

This Is My Place invites us to celebrate the spaces, routines and relationships that help children feel grounded.
For neurodivergent children, their place is often shaped by sensory safety, emotional regulation and connection, rather than a specific room or location.

💛 Their place might be a cosy corner with a blanket or favourite toy
💛 Their place might be their headphones, tablet or repetitive play
💛 Their place might be movement, spinning, jumping or rocking
💛 Their place might be silence and space
💛 Their place might be familiar routines
💛 Their place might be passions like bubbles, trains, animals or art
💛 Their place might be the steady presence of someone who understands their needs
💛 Their place might be a predictable bedtime ritual that signals safety

Neurodivergent children feel safest when the world makes room for what regulates them, rather than expecting them to adapt to overwhelm.

This week, let’s honour their place by:

✨ Protecting sensory comfort
✨ Offering predictability and rhythm
✨ Allowing processing time
✨ Validating emotions without pressure
✨ Encouraging passion-led play
✨ Being their safe connection, not another demand
✨ Celebrating what helps them feel calm, confident and secure

🏡 Every neurodivergent child deserves a place that belongs to them, supports their nervous system and makes them feel truly safe.
This week reminds us to protect that space with intention and love.

Sending calm, courage and kindness,
Cara 💛

✨ Top Tips for Real Change in 2026 ✨
It is the last day of January and let’s be honest…
A lot of those New Year, new me intentions have already faded. And that is completely normal.

Here is why 👇

🌿 Willpower lives in the conscious mind
It gets tired, overwhelmed and pulled in a hundred directions.

🧠 Real change happens in the subconscious
This is where your habits, beliefs and automatic patterns live.

💡 When you rely on willpower alone, the odds are against you.
Life gets busy, stress takes over and the brain slips back into old routines.

But here is the good news…

✨ Hypnotherapy works where change actually happens
It supports your nervous system, rewires old patterns and helps you build new, healthier habits that stick.

✨ It feels easier and more natural
You no longer need to fight yourself to make progress.

If you want 2026 to feel different, start by working with the part of your mind that truly drives change.

💬 Send me a message if you are ready for gentle, powerful, long lasting transformation.
