Thank you so much all who came to the first singing sauna in Emsworth. What a thrill and deeply refreshing time.

Thanks for being great sports and agreeing on the spot to be photographed too. Sometimes it’s so nice to capture these things to try to show what it’s like as singing in a sauna can possibly seem alien to some. But it feels like the the most natural thing in the world when you’re there and in the moment (and people have been doing it for centuries all over the world)…

In these clips we’re singing the Hebridean seal call (trad), She Gives Me Life by Alexa Sunshine Rose, and Put Your Roots Down by Molly Hartwell.

Sometimes just a two part harmony will absolutely do. This is the sound of Full Circle this week singing ’s gift of a song.

We sing generally on the second Monday of the month. Come join us - straight from work or in your joggers, there’s no introductions, we just get straight into breathing, movement and then singing to relax, have fun, and get some nice oxytocin going. Sometimes I’ll do something ridiculous like tread barefoot on half a cake that someone has made, you never know 😂🙈 Sorry Rosie! Xx

Full Circle women’s singing this evening, 8-9pm at The Meeting Place in Westbourne.

Not the best video clip but you get the idea! This evening we’ll sing a gorgeous song about finding strength within ourselves in four part harmony. No pressure at all, and no singing experience needed. Just gentle call and response teaching in the oral song sharing tradition. Hope to see you there!

8-9pm at The Meeting Place in Westbourne, come early to make yourself a cup of tea. Sing with other women and fill your cup with soothing harmonies.

… I think it just might be because my first singing sauna, to be held in the gorgeous Red Door Saunas at Thornham Marina on April 18th, is now fully booked 🥰

The health benefits of sauna-ing are well documented and I for one am so happy that this industry is growing, and that gorgeous saunas are popping up closer to home. There’s always room for more singing and more saunas everywhere in my book!

But have you ever sung in a sauna yourself, on your own or with others?

Singing in the sauna let’s agree is - first and foremost - just an entirely lovely experience, it just feels GOOD. Singing with others even better - hello oxytocin.

But there’s also actual benefits to your vocal health from sauna singing too, including:

🧡 Improved respiratory function
🧡 Vocal chord hydration
🧡 Muscle relaxation and stress release
🧡 Enhanced circulation and recovery
🧡 Detoxification for vocal clarity

So I’m really excited about this session and can’t wait to report back to you about how it goes.
