I had a lovely review today from a customer, pushing myself online doesn't come naturally to me but it is such a professional buzz when you get nice feedback.

Year 2 is now complete, it was a tough one! It was strange, I did better where I thought I would struggle and struggled with what I thought I would find easier.

Life is weird isn't it, I guess you throw all your efforts into where you think the challenges will be and keep your foot of the gas when you think you will pass with flying colours!

Nevertheless I'm looking forward to starting the last year, only 12 weeks of study and 12 weeks of placement left.
Throwing that hat up in the air becomes more of a reality with each passing month! 🎓🥳

Well March is here and things are finally feeling a bit more warmer and positive.

I've just finished 5 weeks of placement at the Royal Free Hospital in London in the acute wound care clinic.
My word it was tough, moving from flexible hours to full time, days, really knocked the equilibrium out of me.😔

On a positive, im pleased to say I passed it, lots of knowledge shared and rubbing shoulders with Podiatric surgeons and the Professor was a real experience.
It seemed the more intelligent the person, the nicer they were. 💁‍♀️

Well it's back to the study books for now, Pharmacology this term which will set me up for the realms of nail surgery. 😬

My thoughts go to Summer, looking forward to getting through the next few months to those long hot days! 🌞

Well that's it folks for another year, time to hang up the nippers!

It's been an eventful one with some real highs like going to the Royal College of Podiatry conference in Harrogate and some lows to keep me 'forever' grounded.💪🙄

As I push through with my degree (half way!) I remain under a cloud of pressure but continue to try and do my best through study and patient care and the many hats and coats we wear as practitioners, parents and partners! 😵‍💫

A time to say thank you for my ever loyal customers, I sometimes need you more than you need me! 🫂

I have had an amazing weekend of learning in Harrogate at the Royal College of Podiatry.
I'm always in awe of the incredible people that speak, although one thing I have realised that it's just ordinary people doing amazing things.

I had the pleasure this summer of shadowing one of my amazing lecturers that work at GOSH!
A sobering experience, and the realisation of what parents go through when their children attend this hospital.
All these experiences make you a better clinician and most certainly keep you humbled.

Hi folks, hope you are all doing well and enjoying the glimpse of sun, I really hope it's hear to stay.🌞

Well I'm happy to report that year one, term two is now complete. I'm even happier to report that all is passed and I'm going to come back to study in September! 💪

It was hard at times, really hard, but if you grin and bear it, dig deep it's soo doable, I'm so happy I took the decision. With the support of my family and friends I'm getting through it. I've also made some study buddies where we have amalgamated a group and are supporting each other. 👭

So for now it's time to get on with all the jobs I have relinquished, like cleaning cupboards and relentless weeds in the garden. 🫤The parent load is all, ever-consuming and is the fault of most of my anxieties. 😬

I'm looking forward to recharging my batteries and catching up with my customers over the warm months. I've also been in the process of beginning to build a website so hopefully I will be able to share that with you in the near future.

Keep happy and healthy and be flip flop ready! 👣

Hi folks,

Sorry its been a while on posting, life has been a little hectic to say the least. It's nice to document my journey here so I've something to look back on and remember my thoughts and feelings.

My course is going well, I'm pleased to report, I'm not gonna lie it's taking it out of me, but weirdly I'm enjoying the journey.

I'm on placement at the moment in local clinics so it's been an eye opener to say the least.😮

I had a lovely message from another colleague to say I had inspired her to study the degree, and that she has been offered a place! 🚀

I've always been an advocate of self-development so it's lovely to hear another person is taking the plunge.💪

So for now I've notes to do for today, so will sign off but report back soon. I have exams in May so as soon as they are complete, I will check in.

I'm definitely looking forward to a long summer.☀️
