Hamstring Strain?
Here’s What It Really Means 💥
Not all hamstring injuries are the same — and understanding the type and grade is key to effective recovery.
This graphic breaks it down into 3 types:
🔹 Type A – Myofascial
🔹 Type B – Musculotendinous
🔹 Type C – Intratendinous
And 5 levels of severity:
⚪ Grade 0 – Neuromuscular issue, no tear
🟡 Grade I – Small microtears
🟠 Grade II – Moderate tears
🔴 Grade III – Extensive tears
⚫ Grade IV – Complete rupture
🎯 Whether you’ve got tightness post-training or a tear on the pitch, proper diagnosis = proper rehab.
