It’s time to bust the myth that we can only experience seasonal affective disorder (SAD) in winter. SAD is a type of depression that you experience during particular seasons or times of year. And this can be in summer too.
It’s common for our moods or energy levels to be affected by the weather.
But if your feelings are having a big impact on your daily life, and if they keep coming back at the same time of year, this could be a sign of SAD.
We can experience SAD in Summer due to how light it is outside. Which means we may sleep too little or wake up often. Or we may struggle with hot temperatures or humidity. It can also be difficult when the weather changes a lot.
If you’ve got it bad with SAD, we’re right behind you. Give us a shout if you need some support 💙
