Imagine being diagnosed with blood cancer and not knowing how you will get to your treatment. For many people across Devon, this is reality.

Every week, our transport service meet patients at their homes and take them to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital Haematology Centre. Some can’t drive themselves, others have no one to take them, and public transport often isn’t an option.

For many, our service isn’t just convenient, it is lifesaving.

But running this service isn’t easy. Our fleet is generously sponsored by JMC Aviation but fuel, insurance, maintenance and drivers’ salaries all add up. And because ELF doesn’t receive any Government or NHS funding, every mile we drive is fuelled by generous donations from supporters like you.

And this Christmas, thanks to Murray Group Devon, your donation will be doubled.

Before your brain starts telling your body it's flu season and there's every chance you're going to catch a germ or develop the flu - rewire your thoughts, and habits during the winter.

• Increase your Vitamin D intake (or start taking it if you're not already)

• Keep up with physical activity- don't stay at home just because the weather isn't perfect.
There's no such thing as bad weather - just inappropriate clothing.

• Don’t use December as an excuse to consume more alcohol, your body won't thank you for it.

• Sugar intake increases, think "celebrations" perhaps hold back on the tub purchase this year and home make some healthy snacks.

• Don't over commit yourself, enjoy gentle boundaries to protect your energy.

• Self care - you can't look after everyone else if you don't look after yourself, make time for relaxation.

We are in November!? How did that happen.. ?!

I have around 5 or 6 appointments left for this month, so please book ahead if you can to avoid disappointment!

September and October were hectic as I moved over to a new menu offering less massage and more relaxation (including my popular new FFS and the holistic facial with Neals Yard).

My remedial massage has always been the most popular offering but as any of my lovely therapist friends know, mentally and physically it is extremely challenging, so making the decision to cut back was an act of self care and it's working!

Less burnout, better treatments 💫

I'm fully charged and ready to help you prepare for the crazy festive season where you all go to parties and I wrap myself in a blanket reading books and sipping my cinnamon sleepy drink 😂😂
