The Real Birth Company Workshop
Antenatal classes (online/group/one to one available) that aim to empower you with all the information, evidence and confidence you need to begin preparing (and getting excited!) for the birth of your baby. I trained and worked as a midwife in Aberdeen for 6 years before moving to Falkirk. I have experience working as a community, case loading/continuity and a hospital midwife. I love all aspects of my job, but i have recently discovered my passion for antenatal education! After recently completing The Real Birth Company antenatal teacher training course, i have begun offering The Real Birth Company Workshop online for expectant parents to be. Even as a midwife, I learned so much about the physiology of birth from completing the course. I've always loved teaching antenatal classes because i love the connection it provides between pregnant people and a midwife. I enjoy being able to empower pregnant people with my knowledge of labour and birth, and helping them to prepare for a very exciting time in their lives! I feel passionate about providing pregnant people with evidence based, honest, up to date information about all things bump, birth and beyond. By attending my workshop, i hope to provide you with all the information and confidence you need to make fully informed decisions, prepare for your birth and have a positive birth experience! Please note, at present i do not provide private antenatal/labour/home birth/postnatal midwifery care/services outwith my role as an NHS midwife. I am registered with the NMC (nursing and midwifery council) and I am insured via the RCN (royal college of nursing) to provide private AN classes out with my role as an NHS midwife.
