Our Saturday seated exercise class will finish on 22nd November. A huge thank you to everyone who’s taken part! 💙

But great news - in January, we’ll be launching a brand new Healthy Living Group on Saturdays 🎉This will focus on nutrition, movement and lifestyle tips to support your overall wellbeing.

📢 Pathology system upgrade – Monday 10 November

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust is upgrading its pathology lab system to a new LIMS on Monday 10 November. This will improve test processing and data quality across the region.

⚠️ There may be minor disruption to blood test services on 10 & 11 November, but we’ll keep this to a minimum. Normal clinics resume Wednesday 12 November.

For school aged children in years R-11, please call the school aged immunisations team – 02382 318318 for catch up clinics for school aged children.

Flu season has come early and cases are rising among children, NHS England says.

Highlands Surgery Building Improvements 2025 Project

We are letting you know that internal improvement works are happening from this Saturday through to the end of the year.

Our key priority is to ensure the safety and comfort of all patients and staff. With this in mind there will be occasions when:

• Car-parking spaces will be reduced with some areas cordoned off keeping construction vehicles separate
• Meon staff and patients will have separate, segregated access routes and working areas away from construction activity (please follow signs)

We appreciate your understanding and patience while these essential improvements are carried out to enhance our facilities for everyone’s benefit.

🕰️ This Sunday the UK will be moving the clocks back by one hour for the end of daylight saving. That means an extra hour of sleep! 😊

✅ Travel tip: If you’re relying on trains, flights or other schedules, double-check times after the change!
✅ Outdoor plans? Sunset will arrive sooner than you’re used to. Maybe switch to daytime activities or bring a flashlight for the evening.
✅ Tech check: Most devices update automatically but if yours doesn’t, set the clock back manually before bed on Saturday.

Let’s embrace the extra hour of zzz’s and get ready for cosy, earlier evenings ahead! 🍂
