Trigger Warning: Content relates to victims of crime

As a proud provider of two Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) services in the UK who support individuals in Dorset and Lincolnshire, we’re backing the latest national survey from the Victims’ Commissioner.

Claire Waxman, London’s first Independent Victims’ Commissioner, has launched the 2026 Victims’ Survey, helping ensure that people with lived experience of crime have a chance to be heard.

This is the only independent, national survey that gathers insights directly from victims across all crime types and stages of the justice process. The findings play a vital role in shaping recommendations to improve support and outcomes.

- Open from 8 April to 6 May 2026

- Takes around 15 minutes

- Anonymous

- Open to anyone aged 16+ who has experienced or reported a crime since January 2021

After a cold and challenging night, Sean Jenkins, Remus Manole and Mark Kettle have made it through the Great Tommy Sleep Out. It wasn’t easy, but that was the point, to stand in solidarity with veterans who face homelessness and hardship every day.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported them so far. Your donations, messages and encouragement have made a real difference and kept spirits high through the night.

If you’ve been meaning to donate, there’s still time to show your support and help make a lasting impact for those who have served our country.

Sean Jenkins, Remus Manole and Mark Kettle braved a cold night under the stars as part of the Great Tommy Sleep Out to show their solidarity with veterans who face homelessness every day.

It’s not just about one night without comfort. It’s about raising awareness, starting conversations, and doing something tangible to support those who have given so much.

If you can, please consider donating to support their efforts. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps provide vital support to veterans in need.

Let’s get behind them and make it count. Every donations counts - https://www.justgiving.com/team/phl2?utm_medium=team...

Tonight, some of our PHL Group colleagues are stepping outside their comfort zone and taking part in the Great Tommy Sleep Out by giving up their comfy, warm beds for the night to sleep outdoors and raise vital funds for those who have served our country.

This powerful initiative, organised by Royal British Veterans Enterprise, funds essential services like emergency accommodation and mental health support for veterans who are experiencing homelessness, unemployment, or challenges transitioning back into civilian life.

Every penny raised goes towards helping Veterans with housing, employment support, and welfare services. They provide a lifeline to those who need it most by helping veterans rebuild their independence and future.

We’re incredibly proud of our colleagues, Sean Jenkins, Mark Kettle and Remus Manole, for getting involved in such an important cause, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.

If you can, please show your support by making a donation via their fundraiisng page. Every pound raised will help make a real difference.

In the latest episode of Safe Talks, our host Gemma Bond visits Dorset Shores Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in Bournemouth to speak with Ali Caller, SARC Manager, and Crisis Support Worker, Mathilda Crow.

SARCs provide specialist support for people who have experienced sexual assault, but the service is about far more than forensic evidence. It is about creating a safe, compassionate environment where people can regain a sense of control after trauma.

Ali and Tilly discuss:

- How trauma-informed practice shapes the care provided at Dorset Shores
- Why time, empathy and trust are essential when supporting survivors
- The importance of leadership in advocating for vulnerable people
- How teams working in challenging environments support each other to continue delivering high-quality care

Their insights highlight the dedication of professionals working to protect and support some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Listen to the latest episode of Safe Talks to hear their story and the leadership lessons behind their work.

While Cambridge Access Surgery didn’t take home the award at last night’s HSJ Independent Healthcare Providers Awards, being shortlisted is an incredible achievement in itself, and one the whole team should feel immensely proud of.

To be recognised alongside such outstanding organisations and individuals is a reflection of the dedication, compassion and quality of care the team delivers every day. That doesn’t change with the outcome of an award.

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners.

And to the Cambridge Access Surgery team: we couldn’t be prouder of the work you do and the difference you make!

Dressed to the nines and soaking up an incredible evening at the HSJ Independent Healthcare Providers Awards.

The room is full of inspiring stories, and we’re genuinely bowled over by the achievements being celebrated across the sector tonight. It’s a reminder of the passion, innovation and care that drives healthcare forward every day.

The ‘Best Provider of Community and Primary Care’ category is coming up soon, with Cambridge Access Surgery proudly shortlisted. Whatever the outcome, we couldn’t be prouder of our team, sitting alongside such inspiring individuals and organisations is an achievement in itself.

A brilliant night, surrounded by people making a real difference
