We all have moments when anxiety gets the better of us, weather that’s a job interview, a first date, a business meeting or a social occasion. Our nervous system is on red alert, lurching into fight, flight or freeze and we become disregulated.

We may find we hold our breath, or our breathing quickens, we loose our words and brain fog over takes us.

What may help in these moments is if we can ground ourselves and here are 5 simple ways of doing just that.

Remember anxiety is a human response and can be useful at keeping us safe 💚

Mother’s Day! A day to celebrate the women in our lives that mother us, raise us and help us to navigate our way through life.

Let’s be mindful that for some today can be difficult, reflecting and remembering those they’ve loved and lost. Don’t be afraid of their pain but do give them space to feel it, with great love comes great loss and we can’t feel one without the other.

Take care 💚💚💚

Did you know eating disorders are responsible for more loss of life than any other mental health condition, and unfortunately, are becoming increasingly more common. Over the last 30-40 years, the prevalence of eating disorders has increased to become a widespread problem across the UK and worldwide.

It can be very hard to admit you have a problem and ask for help. It may make things easier if you have a friend or loved one with you when you make those first steps.

You can talk in confidence to an adviser from eating disorders charity Beat by calling their adult helpline on 0808 801 0677 or youth helpline on 0808 801 0711.

Having an eating disorder is a lonely place to exist and change can seem horrifyingly difficult but asking for help is the first step to recovery.
