This morning, residents came together for a relaxed coffee morning and residents’ meeting, sharing ideas, laughter, and a catch-up over a warm brew. ☕

Yesterday evening, we were delighted to welcome a special visit from our local Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides! 🎨

The girls teamed up with our residents for a fun and creative drawing session, where everyone was invited to design a picture inspired by a favourite movie or musical. Once completed, these wonderful artworks will be entered into a competition for the upcoming gala day!

It was a fantastic evening and our residents thoroughly enjoyed it. 💛

Today we made the most of the sunshine with a wonderful day out in the scenic countryside! Our mystery tours were full of little surprises from spotting adorable lambs and windmills to learning all about different trees along the way. 🌿🐑

The highlights? Meeting a beautiful horse and checking out a motorbike that definitely turned a few heads!

After all that exploring, we enjoyed some well-earned refreshments and a lovely lunch, followed by relaxing walks around the village.

A perfect day filled with fresh air, smiles, and sunshine. ☀️

A glorious day of sunshine. 😎
Many thanks to Spark ( West Lothian) for the donation of the ability basket ball equipment which Arran and the activity staff built this morning. 🙏
The resident's enjoyed the new equipment plus the favourites, connect 4, badminton and beach ball games.
We used our factor 50, hydrated with cool juice and enjoyed some crisps and sweeties too. Singing in the sunshine can't be beaten.

Fiona opened the hair salon and welcomed her clients with a big smile and lots of kind words.

The staff enjoyed social chats with our residents as they travelled from all parts of the home to be pampered.
Residents also enjoyed carrying out some chores.
Many hands make light work.

Tomorrow we are out on mystery tours with Harry Ferguson Traveline coaches, followed by morning coffee in the Pentagon ( our 5 windowed events room, overlooking our fabulous garden). 🌞

Our residents enjoyed a fun-filled day, starting the morning by creating their own refreshing mocktails in the small lounge. 🍹

The afternoon brought plenty of laughter with a lively ball throw game, followed by a cheerful sing-along. The day ended perfectly with a relaxing cup of tea and a slice of cake. 🎶☕🍰

Residents in Poppy House made the most of the day, enjoying time relaxing in the garden and soaking up the fresh air. 🌿

There were smiles all around as some watched videos of America, sparking fond memories for those with family across the pond. Others took a gentle walk down memory lane, listening to much-loved songs from years gone by. 🎶

The day also included fun ball games and some special one-to-one time 💛

This morning, residents took part in a lively game of prize bingo, with plenty of excitement all round. In the afternoon, residents enjoyed a wonderful music and memories session in the top floor lounge, dancing along and reminiscing about their younger days, favourite songs, and trips to the dancing halls. 💃🎶
To finish the day, Monday’s movie choice in the main lounge was The Green Mile. 🎬

This morning, residents enjoyed our Passion and Pastimes Coffee Morning, where plenty of lovely conversations were shared ☕️. One resident talked about her career as a teacher, sparking questions and memories from others about their own school days including a few cheeky stories about “getting the belt”! 😆In the afternoon, a few residents enjoyed a peaceful stroll around Barton Terrace.

The resident's enjoyed a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park today, passing Stirling Castle and the Kelpies. 🐘🦓🐆

Our driver, Colin from Harry Ferguson Traveline coaches took us through the animal enclosures at a peaceful pace and was kind enough to stop the bus for photo opportunities. 😃

The residents were excited when the monkeys climbed onto the roof of the bus. The residents gave Colin three cheers at the end of the trip.

The staff at Blair Drummond went above and beyond at every stage of the day. Warm welcomes, kind hospitality and informative information during the sea lion display. 😊

Tomorrow we are off to Blair Drummond Safari Park, with picnics, sun hats and suncream. Yes, the weather is to be glorious. We will take lots of photographs for you all to enjoy. 🦓

Today we had a visit from Parker the cocker spaniel who toured our home 🏡 engaging with everyone. He sure was happy to be brushed and clapped on the head. The residents reminisced about their pets and family members pets. An extension of this will be a visit to Wee Eden and Livingston Village Farm over the summer months.

The salon was open for pamper sessions and Fiona the hairdresser created lots of new styles for both gents and ladies. A firm favourite each week.

Residents enjoyed a creative and engaging day! 🌿

This morning, they completed the birdhouses they had begun building last week, taking great pride in their finished work. To complement the activity, residents watched a short video of a bird building its nest inside a birdhouse, which sparked plenty of interest and conversation. As they worked, there were lovely discussions about the birds often seen in our gardens. 🐦

In the afternoon, residents took part in interactive games on Oomph!, including Hangman, Calculus, and Around the World. However, Quizzle proved to be the clear favourite, bringing lots of fun and friendly competition to the session! 😃
