From stollens to snowmen, teddies to tombola's, crafts to coffee, face painting to frankfurters, we had the most special time with you all today at our Christmas Fayre 🎄🥰. Thank you so much to everyone who came and spent time and money with us today, and we hope you all had a wonderfully festive time too! Even Santa Claus and 4 of his elves accepted our invitation to spend time with us and our lovely community of little people, all for free (well, he might have snuck a hot dog or 2 from Dave 🎅🤭).

We owe so many thank you's to this supportive community of individuals and businesses:

- our volunteers, who put in hours of baking, wrapping, crafting, sorting and serving, without whom we wouldnt have this event or FCS
- Santa and his elves - you were magical!

We cannot thank enough for their kind donation of feminist and empowering notebooks, which we think are just perfect for our female young people's Santa Sacks 😍. Gift Smith is just one of the many amazing businesses and organisations who are sponsoring and giving to Mission Santa Sacks this year, and together making sure no child or young person goes without in our area this Christmas.

There's still time to sponsor and donate, whether that's as a business or an individual. Every penny we can raise means we can support more young people in our area who are in poverty and distress. Yes, that's right, our renowned Christmas Fayre is nearly upon us all, and the big S 🎅 will be with us too! How lucky are we!

We cannot wait to see you for all sorts of family fun and shopping too, with craft stalls, story time with the BIG S, have a go craft room, raffle, tombola, cakes, refreshments, hot dogs and homemade snacks, Miss Honey's guinea pigs and so much more.

And, you'll come knowing you're supporting our Mission Santa Sacks Appeal - enabling us to give magical toys and essentials to children and young people in our area who are really really struggling this Christmas and beyond. ✨

🌟 We’re Honoured! 🌟

Ferndown Community Support has been awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service — the highest recognition a UK volunteer group can receive (the MBE for voluntary organisations). We couldn’t be prouder! 💜

This award celebrates the incredible dedication of our volunteers, who give their time and energy to support local people through our food & essentials bank, cooking clubs, outreach services, community events, and so much more. Their compassion continues to make a real difference for individuals and families across Ferndown and East Dorset.

“This is an amazing achievement that we have all worked together to make happen. I am proud of our team, we work hard, we work together, we put each other and our community first, and we champion everything that is good about society to make it a better place. It is an honour and a privilege to know each and every one of our volunteers and steering committee members, and to see the dedication and commitment, day in, day out, to deliver for our community. And last but by no means least, our debt of gratitude wholeheartedly extends to our wider community, our funders, our supporters and our partners whom we work with, without whom we wouldn't be able to deliver what we do. We are doing a style of Super market sweep at Sainsbury’s Ferndown today, I will be there from 2pm until 4pm so pop in a say hello ! We are really short of certain items for the Food Bank so asking shoppers to pop something extra in their trolly for a little donation that will mean so much to those in our community.
