Ferndown Manor is a purpose-built care home that offers round-the-clock residential, nursing and short-term respite care, as well as specialist dementia care. Located in Ferndown, Dorset, the experienced and skilled team deliver excellent care in luxurious surroundings. Residents are encouraged to live active and fulfilled lives with premium facilities, such as a cinema, hair salon and a café. The Ferndown team get to know each resident, including their needs, interests and tastes, tailoring their care and lifestyle plans to suit each individual. They carefully plan a wide range of group and one-to-one activities such as music sessions, outings and growing vegetables in the garden.

🎨Art Attack Fun!🎨

Today we took part in our Art Attack project, where the Lifestyle and Maintenance teams came together to upcycle old mirrors and turn them into beautiful decorative pieces! We had lots of fun (and got a little messy!) during the creative process. Some lovely designs are already taking shape, and we can’t wait to see the finished results.

After we had finished up with the activity we sang pat a happy birthday and tucked into her delicious cake🎂

We had a lovely morning visiting Parley First School to celebrate World kindness Day! 💛

Our residents joined the children to decorate stones with positive messages and cheerful images. These stones will soon be hidden around Ferndown for people to discover, little reminders to brighten someone’s day and spread kindness throughout our community.

We also celebrated two wonderful birthdays!

Today we remembered all of the brave soldiers who gave their lives. Our residents and staff joined together to participate in the two minutes’ silence and watched the Remembrance Day parade throughout the home.

Our Story

Ferndown Manor is a stunning purpose-built care home in Ferndown, Dorset. The home provides the latest in luxury living for older people with dedicated clinical and care teams providing residential and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care and specialist care for people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. We also provide sensitive palliative and end of life care.

We believe that residents should enjoy each day to the fullest; our colleagues take the time to understand your loved one’s needs, interests and tastes so that they are engaged and active in everyday life. We have a fabulous lifestyle team who plan activities ranging from in-home creative and music sessions to pamper sessions and planting in the garden.

Quality food and fine dining are key to the care provided by the Ferndown Manor team. Food plays a big part in our daily activities, including baking and growing vegetables in the garden for use in the kitchen.
