My name is Adele Hughes, I live in North Wales and I am a mother of two fantastic girls.
I have an extensive background working with people in a supportive roll, within a variety of
settings. I lived away for many years and started a family with my then husband,
after our relationship broke down, I returned to Wales. My girls have been my
primary focus for more than a decade and I am very proud of the well-rounded
individuals that they are becoming. Returning to Wales and my family support
network, enabled me to further my education and undertake a degree in family and
childhood studies, which leads me to the present day.
I have been interested in resilience for as long as I can remember. Academic study
allowed me to expand my knowledge further in this field, I was particularly fascinated
by the impact of adverse childhood experiences. Throughout my own life I have
faced a variety of adversities, it was during a life changing period of ill health that I
met Jo Howarth (Founder and Director of The Happiness Club). I benefited first hand from
her resilience workshops and online Happiness Club. As my studies concluded, I seized the
opportunity to train with Jo and become a part of The Happiness Club team. I am passionate
about the benefit and importance of educating both adults and children with the knowledge,
tools and techniques to live a happier, stronger and more resilient life. Seeing the impact that
delivering these workshops has on people both young and old, fills me with immeasurable
joy.
