Massage isn’t always about “switching off.”
For many people, touch can bring up a range of sensations, emotions, or questions — and that’s okay.

This is why I work with a trauma-informed, trauma-sensitive approach, rooted in safety, consent, choice, and respect for the nervous system. Sessions begin by creating a calm, grounded space and taking time to talk together about what feels supportive, helping to build a sense of predictability and ease. From there, each session is shaped by your individual needs in the moment — tuning in to both verbal and non-verbal cues, and working slowly and fluidly rather than using abrupt or forceful techniques.

There’s a quiet assumption in bodywork that more is better — deeper pressure, faster progress, stronger techniques.

But I don't agree.

In my experience, the nervous system softens when it feels met, not pushed. When touch is steady rather than abrupt. When the body isn’t asked to keep up.

That belief shapes how I work. I value slowness, continuity, and pacing that allows the body to stay oriented and present — not because it’s gentler, but because it’s often more effective.

For some people, this kind of approach is the difference between bracing through a session and actually being able to receive it.

Massage doesn’t need to demand anything from you.
It can meet you where you are.

From closed loop refill systems and eco-friendly laundry detergent to reusable linens and paper-free intake forms, these small choices help me bring intention and care into my massage and yoga practice.

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present—bringing attention, awareness, and intention to each moment. 🌿

In my massage practice, I use mindfulness to guide every movement. By taking slow, deep breaths, I centre myself and stay fully present, tuning into subtle shifts and cues from the body. This allows me to adapt in real time, moving intuitively and intentionally to support release, ease, and deep relaxation.

Being mindful as a therapist means noticing the smallest changes, responding thoughtfully, and holding space fully. It’s this presence, breath by breath, that shapes each session and makes every massage unique. 🤍

Before we begin, we check in: how have you been feeling? Where is tension building? What does your body need today? This helps me understand how I can best support you—and allows you to guide the session too.

I also draw on my experience to offer suggestions. Migraines creeping in? A gentle scalp massage might help. Upper back feeling tight? We might focus on a targeted release instead of a full-body relaxation massage.

Together, we create a massage treatment plan that’s tailored to you. Each session builds on the last, supporting your body in the ways it truly needs.
