My massage style isn’t defined by one approach — it’s an intuitive blend, shaped by what your body needs in the moment. You might feel elements of Swedish, Thai, Deep Tissue, Lomi Lomi, or no-hands work flowing together as I respond to tension and guide you into deep relaxation.

When booking, you’ll see sessions listed by time, not massage type — this allows me to tailor each treatment uniquely to you.

My treatment space is carefully curated with attention to every detail, because the environment itself is an important part of your session. It’s a place to pause, breathe, and take a little time just for you.

Here are some of my treatment room “must-haves”:

Consultation space – A quiet, comfortable corner for us to sit together and talk about what brings you in. A moment to be heard, check in, and for me to understand how I can best support you.

Warm, soothing lighting – Soft, low lighting helps signal to your body that it’s time to slow down, supporting a gentle release of tension and a sense of calm.

Soft, textured linens – For massages, comfort is key. I use cosy linens and a blanket with a little weight, plus a heated mattress pad in winter, so you can fully relax and sink into the experience.

Plants – Bringing a touch of nature indoors creates a calming atmosphere, helping to nurture a sense of wellbeing and connection to the natural world.

Every detail of the room is here to support your relaxation, making your time with me a true chance to pause, unwind, and reconnect with your body and breath.

I had the wonderful opportunity yesterday to provide massage therapy for Elise’s yoga retreat 🌿

So grateful to collaborate with the lovely .anna.carter — her energy is so bright and beautiful, she truly lights up any space she’s in. ✨

Taking a quiet moment today to reflect — it was such a peaceful setting, and a really kind, welcoming group of women. Feeling grateful for the chance to be part of it 💛

If you ever have an offering or retreat and would like to collaborate, I’d love to hear from you. 🤗

A few little things I recommend before your massage — to help you get the most from your session.

🕰 Give yourself a little buffer time — arriving calm helps your body settle.
🤸‍♀️ Gentle stretches — warm up your muscles and help you melt more deeply into the massage.
🛁 No need to shave or wash your hair — come exactly as you are, fully comfortable.
🚽 Use the toilet beforehand — so you’re not lying there thinking about a full bladder halfway through!
🧘‍♀️ Take a few deep breaths — helps your body start to unwind and arrive fully in the moment.
🪷 Set a small intention — something like “I’m here to rest” or “I’m open to release.”

Simple, mindful steps that help you drop in, let go, and get the most from your time on the table.

Sometimes clients ask me how often I recommend getting a massage — whether for easing muscle tension or simply for relaxation. And honestly, the answer isn’t one-size-fits-all.

In an ideal world, we could have massages as often as we liked, whenever our hearts desired. But life doesn’t always allow for that, and everyone’s body and needs are different. Some people feel better with more frequent sessions, while others are happy to come as it feels right.

What I always encourage is this: listen to your body. After a massage, notice how you feel, tune into any changes in tension, mood, or energy. That awareness will guide you toward a frequency that feels right for you.

For many of my regular clients, once a month is a sweet spot. If you want to come on a recurring basis, I’m happy to work with you — and your budget — to find a rhythm that supports you consistently.

Massage isn’t just for easing tension as it arises — it can be a mindful part of your self-care practice, creating space to nurture your body and mind, slow down, and reconnect. Paying attention to how you feel afterward helps you find the rhythm that works best for you.

✨ My favourite way to practice Figure 4 Pose — using the wall as a prop! ✨

This pose is great for stretching the outer hips, glutes, and piriformis, and the wall makes accessible at home.

Often in Figure 4, we try to deepen the stretch by looping our hands behind the thigh to bring the knee closer to the chest, but that can create tension in the upper body.

That’s where the wall comes in! 🧱

Increase the stretch: Bring your hips closer to the wall — this lets your knee draw in more, deepening the stretch.

Soften the stretch: Move your hips further from the wall — the knee won’t draw in as much, easing tension in the outer hip and glutes while keeping the pose comfortable.

A small tweak, a big difference — try it next time you roll out your mat! 💛

🍃 How I prep for your massage 🍃

There’s the obvious stuff—setting up the room, making the space calm and ready. But there’s also a bunch of smaller, surprising ways I prep for your massage…

🪥 Fresh breath – small detail, but important when I’m working close to your face (no one needs coffee breath up close and personal)

✂️ Trimmed nails – tiny detail, big comfort and safety points.

🌿 Moisturised hands – soft, nourished hands make every stroke feel smooth and soothing.

🤸‍♀️ Stretch & warm-up – getting my body ready so I can give you the most effective, flowing massage.

🧘‍♀️ Mini meditation – a moment to centre myself and bring my full attention to your experience.

📵 DND on my phone – no distractions, just your time to unwind.

Every little ritual—big or small—is my way of making sure your massage is purely about you and your comfort

Autumn has its own rhythm — the days grow shorter, the air turns crisp, and the world feels like it’s slowing down. Not everyone loves the end of summer, and that’s completely okay. But this season gently invites us to pause, take notice, and even look forward to the little pleasures that make it feel special.

Curl up with a steaming cup of herbal tea — cinnamon, chamomile, or rooibos — or a pumpkin spice latte, because it wouldn’t be autumn without it. Maybe you treat yourself to a long, slow bath with a fragrant bath bomb, or wrap yourself in a cosy blanket with a good book. Take a walk outside and really notice the season around you — the vivid amber, yellow, and brown leaves, the crunch beneath your feet, and the soft golden light that shifts earlier each day. These little sensory moments make the transition between seasons feel grounding, nurturing, and joyful.

Autumn also offers a chance to create space for yourself. Journaling, meditating, or simply tuning in to how your body and mind feel as the season changes can help you reconnect. It’s also a perfect time to reflect on what you want to let go of, making room for fresh energy and new intentions. This season is an invitation to slow down, nurture yourself, and savour the small comforts that bring calm and joy.

I was recently asked,
“What is your top post-massage aftercare tip?” 🌿

After a massage, the most important thing is to check in with your body—and that means noticing it on several levels.

1️⃣ Tune into your muscles
How do they feel? Are there areas that feel lighter, softer, or more relaxed?
Are some spots still holding tension?
Simply noticing these shifts can deepen your awareness of what your body has released—and what might need a little more care.

2️⃣ Notice your energy & mood
Massage affects more than just the physical body. You might feel calmer, more alert, or even reflective.
Observe these changes without judgment—they’re part of the integration process.

3️⃣ How does your body feel with movement?
Stretch, walk, or change position and notice how it responds.
Some areas may feel looser, some more connected, and some may still need care.
Being mindful of these sensations helps your body recover naturally.

💧 And don’t forget water!
Hydration helps your body refresh and fully absorb the benefits of your massage.

By checking in on muscle, energy, and movement, you give your body the attention it needs to truly integrate the session and feel its full effects.

✨ Supported Deer Pose with a Twist ✨
Sitting at a desk all day? This pose gently opens the hips, stretches the lower back, and creates space along the side body. The torso twists toward the front-facing thigh, giving a gentle rotation to the spine while keeping the posture supported and comfortable.

🧘‍♀️ How to Get Into the Pose:
Sit on the ground with one knee forward (shin parallel to the mat) and the other leg extended behind, creating a 90° angle at hip and knee. Place a bolster or stacked blocks near the front hip for support. Twist your torso toward the front leg, resting on the bolster, keeping your spine long and grounded. Hold for 3 minutes (or as comfortable) and switch sides.

🔄 Alternatives & Adjustments:
– Use pillows or blankets if you don’t have a bolster
– Sit on a cushion or place support under the front knee if hips feel tight
– Skip the twist and fold straight forward if rotation isn’t comfortable

Move slowly into the pose and let the support do the work—perfect for easing tight hips and lower-back tension after long hours at a desk.
