What might the Community at Findhorn look and feel like when we are living our deepest potential—individually, together, and in harmony with the Earth? This follows on from a session I held during the Community Gathering 2025. This post is a place to collate our collective imaginations. You are wa...

Midweek Muse from Offerings to Inspire Series:
Eileen Caddy “I longed for my times of silence, and the nourishment I received from them made it worth the effort of going out in snowy, windy weather. Nevertheless there were some nights when I was reluctant to leave our snug little caravan. The early mornings were even more difficult. I was told that these were the times when I grew the most, spiritually. I found that hard to believe when every thought, every movement, was an effort…”
Excerpt from Eileen's autobiography 'Flight into Freedom and Beyond':

The following excerpts are from Eileen’s autobiography Flight into Freedom and Beyond where she talks about her meditation practice and the sanctuary. *** In my time of stillness with God, I was told: “Start the day by finding Me right there in the very centre of your being, knowing and feeling ...

Offerings to Inspire Series: Saturday Snippet: “Let me be clear from the start: I don’t own a magic wand or a dusty old book of spells. These aren’t tricks to manipulate people. Instead, they’re insights that can sometimes work with an almost magical effect, helping you and those you work with understand what’s truly going on in complex community situations.” Alex Walker:

Over the last 30+ years working in the community, I've learned a great deal about community development. Much of this learning has been hard-earned, but all of it has been incredibly rewarding. In this talk I share some insights that might help explain why things work the way they do – or sometime...

Our Midweek Muse -from Community Member Katherine Collis:
“It can be overwhelming when considering the needs of our own changing world. We stand face to face with our own dark age – ignorant of interconnectedness, illiterate of soul, hungry at so many levels, as a result of self-serving, short-sighted interests.” Full article:

Editor's Note: Katherine Collis wrote a three-part feature about Iona and the retreat house Traigh Bhan. These three articles were split across various editions of the Community magazine Network News. This third part, re-created below, is taken from Network News No 18, which was published in Spring....

An Angel of Findhorn Play by Community Member Michael Hawkins--so timely, as we celebrate Our Community's 63rd Birthday This Week:

Author's Note: Arriving at the Foundation/Community in 1990 I was fascinated by how the Community had evolved through co-creation with other realms and the angelic realms especially. I had encountered Angels through my Catholic upbringing, also in literature, and knew of the inspiration of muses, ha...

Saturday Snippet from Offerings to Inspire Series: Resident Community Member & Ecologist Sean Reed: “I did Experience Week in 2002, purely by chance, when my car broke down on the way to Orkney for a vision quest. Experiencing the widely-shared feeling of ‘belonging’ and ‘coming home’, and after a series of weeks at Cluny, I came to live here in 2004.” It's a useful history of the development of East, West and North Whins (housing complexes) & how the area has been and hopefully stays protected. Our Midweek Muse, from Alex Walker's Key Work The Kingdom Within: "The community is at its best when expressing its love and caring – and at its worst when the challenges of the day become excuses for apathy and factionalism. Be honest with yourself, for authenticity is valued highly in any spiritual tradition worthy of the name, but remember that whatever the question, love is always the answer.”

CULLERNE HOUSE INITIATIVE: Longterm Resident Community Member 'JT" (John Talbott) Updates Us On Its Present Role and Reaches Out for Support from Our Worldwide Community (PS: Cullerne Gardens are a separate initiative):

Cullerne House - two words that evoke infinite memories for the hundreds of people who passed through its doors in the 1980s and 1990s, whilst it was owned by the Findhorn Foundation (FF). The FF sold Cullerne House to long-term community member

Our Saturday Snippet from Offerings to Inspire Series: “Who is a Firekeeper? The role of the fire-keeper is for those who maintain a steady and respectful relationship with the element of Fire, and are able to hold space for the people so that their true voices and colours would shine through. As firekeepers we learn how to make a good roaring fire. We also learn about holding space for stories, for different voices to speak. Ultimately we learn about listening to the Fire, to the elements, to the voices of the ancestors and the children, to earth and to the stars, so that we could take our next steps in harmony with the will of the universe.” By Longterm Resident Community Member Pupak Haghighi-full article here:

We are known as Fire-Keepers. Our group goes by the name of the Findhorn Fire Circle. Our intention is to hold space with the element of Fire so that a field of healing and unity emerges. People often experience a process of purification and transformation while sitting with the fire and other peopl...
