Loxley Hall Care Home - Minster Care Group

Loxley Hall Nursing and Residential Home is located in Helsby, Cheshire. We provide person centred care for up to 36 people.

Located not far from junction 14 M56 with a local train station in the village the home has good transport links. We are rated as Good in all areas by CQC and during a recent infection control audit received assured in all areas inspected. Covid, as you would expect has seen multiple changes in the way we work and how we ensure residents maintain regular contact with their families and friends. We have ipads, laptops and tablets to help people to virtually keep in touch with each other and at present we are conducting the visits indoors with LFD support to give us an additional layer of protection. We are fully supportive of the essential care giver role here at Loxley Hall and encourage all residents and their families to nominate an essential care giver for each of our residents. Our residents have been supported in line with guidance to have external trips out from the home since May 2021 when guidance was released to facilitate trips out. Visiting inside the home continues to be available with LFD testing and wearing of PPE 7 days a week via a pre arrangement which is bookable during office hours of 9 to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Loxley welcomes our new additions to the home, 7 lil chicks, which have the residents an staff over joyed. There's all so cute and everyone is having fun caring for them. Were just waiting for one to hatch out properly an meet its siblings .

We are recruiting !! Taking on bank staff as well as full time. If there's any school leavers that want jobs as domestic are rates of pay are standard regardless of age .

We are looking to add to our established domestic team and are currently recruiting for a Domestic Assistant / Support worker to aid with the day to day cleaning within the home and to support residents at meal times with receiving their drinks and meals.

Experience would be preferred but is not essential as full induction and mandatory training via Elearning will be provided.

There are various roles within the domestic team and all staff rotate through the various roles this is done via an allocation on the rota. This vacancy is for 22 hours per week which will consist of either 8-2pm or 1pm -7pm shifts.

As part of the Croftwood Care UK Limited terms and conditions of employment annual leave is paid at 5.6 weeks per year based on contracted hours, bank holidays are paid at time and a half.

Given current pandemic situation you would be Covid tested as a member of staff on a weekly basis, PPE is provided and instructions for use are as per current guidance in line with legislation. Candidates must have had both covid vaccines or be willing to have them before they start employment. Following completion of probationary period of 6 months and completion of mandatory training during this time you will be eligible to go on to complete NVQ qualifications through our external training provider.

We have retained our good in all areas and overall for following this inspection. We have been supported by families, local community and local businesses throughout this pandemic and we have been overwhelmed by support received over the last twelve months. Our staff have been amazing, working tirelessly to keep everyone safe, support both our residents and each other during the most difficult of times. Thank you to everyone, you have all been fantastic 😊🥂🍾
