This week’s creative arts session was all about finding and celebrating our inner light.

We explored what it means to feel brave, to try even when things feel a little scary, and to shine in our own unique way.

Each child created their own “Star of Strength” — filling it with things they love, what they’re good at, and the people who help them feel strong. They also made their own “Star ”, a little reminder that their light matters.

Because every child deserves to know:

“I am brave. I am strong. I can shine.”

🌙 If you’re feeling the weight of stress in your body and mind right now, here’s a little reminder: you don’t have to carry it alone.

So often we push through, telling ourselves “I’ll rest when…” — but what if rest, support and a safe space are exactly what you need now?

✨ My gentle, holistic sessions are here for you — whether you’re:
✔️ Too anxious to talk in a big group (join me online from your cosy corner)
✔️ Wanting a peaceful 1-1 just for you
✔️ Or craving mindful connection in a friendly small group (like Thoughtful Thursdays)

Stress may be part of modern life — but it doesn’t have to run your life.

💚 If you’re ready to feel lighter, calmer and more you again, message me any time. Your safe space is waiting.

When stress builds up in the body, tiny daily rituals can really help. Try these simple soothers this week:

💆‍♀️ Roll your shoulders and stretch your neck — even 2 minutes helps!
🌿 Step outside, breathe in fresh air, and let your mind rest.
🎨 Do something with your hands — doodle, bake, play with clay, dig in the garden.
🕯️ Light a candle, sit quietly for 5 minutes, no phone.
💧 Drink a glass of water and unclench your jaw right now!

✨ Little moments of calm add up.
If you’d like a bigger pause, a safe space, and gentle support to go deeper — my Thoughtful Thursdays, Create & Chat sessions, and 1-1s are here for you.

Your nervous system will thank you. 💛

Stress doesn’t just live in your mind — it finds sneaky places to hide in your body too!
Here are a few common ones:

🔸 Tension in your neck, shoulders or jaw
🔸 Random tummy troubles
🔸 A racing heart or shallow breathing
🔸 Headaches for “no reason”
🔸 Brain fog and forgetfulness
🔸 Trouble falling or staying asleep

Your body is always sending you little messages — sometimes it just needs a safe space and the permission to soften and let go.

🌿 That’s exactly what my sessions are for: whether it’s a cosy Thoughtful Thursday to melt away stress in a mindful, creative way — or a 1-1 session to get to the root of what’s weighing you down.

✨ Be kind to your body today — it’s doing its best to carry you through it all.

We throw the word stress around so easily these days — but did you know long-term stress can quietly take a real toll on your mind and your body?

From tight shoulders and headaches…
To constant tiredness and trouble sleeping…
To a racing mind that never switches off…

Stress can show up in so many ways we just learn to live with. But you don’t have to. 🌿

💚 My Thoughtful Thursdays sessions and Create & Chat groups are safe, gentle spaces to press pause on the stress cycle — to listen to what your body’s been trying to tell you, and learn how to soothe it in simple, creative ways.

✨ Stay tuned this week — we’re talking all things stress, how it hides in the body, and small ways to let it go.

✨ “So… what will you do now?”

When I was slowly piecing myself back together after a really hard time, people would ask me this over and over again.
It always came from a good place — love, curiosity, support.
But every time I heard it, I felt that familiar knot in my stomach…

Because what if the real answer was: “Nothing — for now.”
What if the bravest, healthiest, wisest thing you can do after a big life moment is… not much at all?

🌿 Somewhere along the way, we were taught that our value comes from what we do. The job, the busy calendar, the productivity, the constant “next thing.”
But what if our worth has nothing to do with doing — and everything to do with being?

Resting is doing.
Healing is doing.
Listening inwards is doing.
Learning who you really are — beyond the roles and labels — is doing.

✨ These days, when someone asks me what I’m doing, I remind myself:
I am resting.
I am healing.
I am choosing to be, rather than endlessly perform.
And in that space of not-doing, I found the version of me that feels the most true.

So if you’ve been feeling that pressure to always be busy, or to have an impressive answer when someone asks what you’re “doing next”… here’s your permission slip to just be. That’s more than enough. 🌼

💛 If you’d love support with slowing down, listening to yourself and reconnecting with what really matters, you’re always welcome in my safe space — whether that’s a gentle group, a one-to-one, or a mindful online chat.

✨ There is so much magic in doing less.

🌿 When did relaxing become so hard?

In our busy, always-on world, truly switching off can feel impossible.
We’re so used to the hustle, the to-do lists, the notifications pinging 24/7… that when we do get a quiet moment, our minds don’t know what to do with it!

✨ The truth is — it’s not your fault if relaxing feels like hard work. Modern life has trained us to keep going, even when we’re running on empty.

That’s exactly why I do what I do. 💚
I offer gentle, holistic support to help you actually unwind:

🌼 Online sessions — perfect if you’re nervous about socialising, or feel safer sharing from your own home.
🌼 1-1 in-person sessions — for a calm, private space to just be.
🌼 A holistic approach — soothing mind, body & soul. We’ll gently explore what’s holding you back, help you hear what your inner voice is really trying to say, and guide you towards the life you want to live.

No pressure. No masks. Just a safe place to relax, reconnect and breathe again.

✨ If you’re ready to feel lighter, calmer and more you — my door (and inbox) is always open.

📩 Message me to find out more, ask any questions, or book a chat. You deserve it. 💚

💭 Did you know stress often whispers before it shouts?

So many of us think stress only shows up as big, obvious breakdowns — but more often, it hides in the everyday moments we brush off:
✨ That tight feeling in your chest when you wake up
✨ The way your shoulders creep up towards your ears by lunchtime
✨ Snapping at loved ones over small things
✨ Forgetting what you walked into the room for — again
✨ Lying awake at night, mind racing with a to-do list you never seem to finish

These subtle signs are your body’s way of asking for a pause. A breath. A moment to listen.

For me it was staring into space, forgetting what I was doing, avoiding tasks and missing the small moments- the ones that matter.

🌿 That’s exactly why I created Thoughtful Thursdays — a gentle, creative space to unwind, be present, and hear what your inner voice has been trying to tell you.

Each week we use simple creative arts and mindful prompts to help you release what you’re holding, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling a little lighter. No experience needed, no pressure — just time for you.

🦋 “So… what exactly do you do at Create and Chat?”
It’s a question I get asked often — and the answer is beautifully simple:

✨ We create.
✨ We connect.
✨ We pause long enough to listen to what’s really going on inside.

Each session is built around a gentle, open-ended theme or prompt designed to spark creativity and encourage a deeper connection to ourselves — and to others. There's no right or wrong. No pressure to perform. Just space to explore, express, and exhale.

🎨 Sometimes we play with paint. Sometimes collage, clay, or simple materials.
💬 Sometimes we chat freely. Sometimes we sit quietly and let the creating do the talking.

This week’s theme?
Butterflies — symbols of transformation, gentle change, and trusting the process even when it feels like everything is shifting. Just like us. 🐛➡️🦋

At Create and Chat, perfection is never the goal — presence is.
Because sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is slow down and listen to what we need to hear. 💛
