This studio focuses on small student numbers (maximum 5) This is not your large ‘village hall’ but a small personal class that provides close constant supervision to ensure that all exercises are done correctly and safely and maximises the benefits! There will be plenty of hands on, correction and adaptions to allow you to exercise with an injury.

We encourage all clients who have not done pilates before or who are rusty to complete the workshop with Hilary first. We run regular workshops.

Hilary and Denise offers mat based and reformer 1:1 sessions and offers classes on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday 8-11am and can offer privates throughout the week.

The shoulder’s ball-and-socket joint gives you great range of motion, but it comes at the expense of stability.

The shoulder joint gets dislocated more often than any other joint in the body. Repeated stress from the way you use your shoulders at work or playing sports can lead to tears and other injuries. Shoulder pain can result from a stiff spine or even from an old ankle injury – our physios are like detectives working through your body clues!

1️⃣ Scans Don’t Tell the Whole Story: Research shows that many people without pain have “abnormalities” (bulges, wear and tear) on MRIs. These are often “wrinkles on the inside.”

2️⃣Movement is Medicine: Strong evidence supports early movement and exercise over bed rest for most types of low back pain.

3️⃣Red Flags vs. Green Lights: Identifying when a scan is actually needed (rare) vs. when physical therapy is the first-line treatment. Red flags include abnormal bowel and bladder movements, saddle anaesthesia, pain going down both legs, alongside pins and needles and motor loss. Congrats to Jake Nugent (pictured on the right) who completed the Malaga Half Marathon this past weekend in a phenomenal time of 1 hour, 20 mins! 🏃‍♂️

Jake had seen our TPC physio, Jared, for an Achilles issue 6 weeks out from the race.

Through persistence, exercise and adjusted running plans, Jake managed to complete the race pain free.

Well done Jake ⭐️
