What is Trigger Point Pilates?
A class combining Pilates core moves and applying myofascial principles to alleviate chronic painful conditions. It targets the connective tissue that surrounds all our muscles & joints
Designed to release tight muscles & enhance functional daily movements- releasing the body from inside out.
A build up of fascia cells creates inflammation- a nagging deep painful area known as “Trigger points” in the body. Can cause stiffness & weakness of a muscle & restrict your range of movement.
Using foam rollers & prickle balls,bands & ball we can soften these Trigger Point.
( can improvise using rolled up towel and tennis ball)
Trigger Point Pilates is ideal for everyone regardless of fitness level.
Trigger points in the body can be latent (a deep nagging pain that may have been there for years) or active (could be a new pain due to a recent injury) and frequently develop in postural muscles (most common), glutes, neck, shoulders, back in fact anywhere in the body!
Results are:
increased circulation
reduction in pain
improvement in range of movement
released tension
