At Sunny Cycles, we believe there’s no single way to enjoy cycling and no barrier that should stop someone from experiencing the joy of movement, fresh air, and community. 💛

Our led rides are designed to meet riders where they are providing support, encouragement, and the time to build confidence at their own pace. 🚴‍♀️✨

Every story like this reminds us why inclusive cycling matters so much. It’s not just about getting on a bike it’s about independence, wellbeing, and finding new ways forward.

🌟 More than rides - it’s impact.

This year alone, hundreds of people have joined us on the bikes building confidence, improving wellbeing, and finding friendship through cycling. 🚲💛

🚲 Riders, routes & real smiles, that’s what Sunny Cycles is all about!

Over the last few weeks we’ve explored parks, canals, and green spaces, and even dodged a few rain showers along the way. 🌦️

Here’s a look back at some of the joy, laughter, and teamwork that make every session special.

Today our women's ride did something different for Wear it Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Day. We were joined by the Friday riders from Mount Vernon Community Hall and we all went along to visit the in Tollcross. There we met Linda who showed us the facilities where they help people learn to prepare and cook meals for themselves, told us about the Prepmate boxes, the different volunteering opportunities and gave us an insight into their community. Over a cup of tea our riders shared more about the work they are doing at Mount Vernon, shared the work that the Community Links workers do in the community and the opportunities available for all and how we can get involved. One of our riders is involved with the St Nicholas care fund which gave funding to the Scottish Pantry and it was great for her to see and hear first hand the impact that the Pantry Network is having on people.

It was such a lovely morning and I doubt will be the last time these people see each other. Please get in touch with the Scottish Pantry directly to find out more, to take a group to visit or to sign up for a free cooking session!

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with WEST Beer , who are located at the other end of the street at Monteith Row. When they heard about our Velotransporter, and we heard about their velo beer, we knew something good would happen. Their Velo beer is a radler, which is a lower alcohol beer and was created for cyclists. A huge thank you to West Beer for this new partnership and we look forward to working together in the year ahead! 😁💙💛🌻🚲

We’re donating 10p from every pint of VELO sold in our Beerhall to our neighbours at Sunny Cycles - a brilliant charity just 300m from the brewery making cycling accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability or background. 🚲💛

We first created VELO for the World Cycling Championships when they came to Glasgow - so it feels like the perfect fit to support a local charity that champions inclusive cycling for all.
