I am currently working with clients online via Zoom and WhatsApp until I'm more established when I will provide face to face appointments in Glasgow's Southside. Online therapy has become more popular since the beginning of Covid 19 and is used by long established practioners who now (as things continue to be a bit more open) combine it with seeing clients face to face.

Hi folks,

I am looking for a couple of clients with phobias which would be 4 weekly sessions.

Smoking cessation is one longer session. (Around 2 hours)

Other issues that hypnotherapy can help with include anxiety, weight management, sleep problems and pain. This would be around 8 weekly sessions.

At present all sessions are online (Zoom/WhatsApp).

As a student member of both the Association of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and the National Council of Hypnotherapists I am able to work with clients free of charge. I am 6 months into a 10 month course. I also have student insurance.

Smoking Cessation is a one off longer session in 3 parts....

1. We talk about why and how you smoke and importantly how the mind works in relation to smoking.

2. Get you on the couch and we do hypnosis. It isn't magic but it does help you to use your mind in a fundamentally different way in relation to what you want to change.

3. I'll send you a relaxation download that reinforces this process.

I am 16 years free from smoking TODAY using hypnotherapy.

Got a spare two hours, free of charge while I'm in training.

Do you have a phobia you would like to be rid of?
Flying, spiders, heights, birds, the dentist, a specific food, clowns, perhaps something more unusual. Anything that gives you the heebee jeebees through to something that seriously affects your life.

Using a four session approach, hypnotherapy can help. The bad memories attached to your phobia, real or imagined, are stored in the filing cabinet of your brain and the technique used removes these memories, replacing them with positive feelings, all while you are relaxed in hypnosis.

Re-focusing the brain from dread to calmness, fear to feeling safe, avoidance to 'whatever Mr Spider'.

Solution focused hypnotherapy helps clients look at the present and future rather than the past. Using up to date research driven techniques and neuroscience, clients can engage in positive thinking and bring change to their life, gaining valuable insight into how their thought processes, actions and interactions can plant the seeds for positive change.

Sessions use a three-step approach...
- Focus on the positives in your life.
- Explaining how the brain works, how part of the brain creates unwanted/unhealthy reactions and how we can switch this into the intellectual part of the brain to effect positive change.
- Using trance hypnosis to create a relaxation environment so that we can access the subconscious mind. Trance is a natural occurrence. Similar to daydreaming we do it many times a day.
