🌟 Employee of the Quarter Spotlight - Meet Mairead 🏆
We’re delighted to shine a spotlight on Mairead Wilkie our latest Employee of the Quarter at Taylor & Martin Property Management 👏
Mairead is often the first voice people hear when they contact the business. As she puts it herself, her role is all about being “the first point of contact for the business, managing incoming calls, supporting all departments, and handling a wide range of ad-hoc administrative tasks”, and she does it all with professionalism, warmth, and confidence.
There’s really no such thing as a typical day in Mairead’s role. Things are usually “pretty varied,” although one thing you can always count on is “lots of incoming calls.” Handling that volume comes naturally to her, thanks to strong people skills and a calm approach that helps her create “a positive first impression for the business” every time.
What Mairead enjoys most is the rewarding, task-based nature of her role and the chance to speak with a wide range of clients and contractors. While she works independently most of the time, she still values feeling like “a valued part of every department,” which speaks volumes about how connected she is across the business.
She describes the team culture at Taylor & Martin as “collaborative, friendly, and fast-paced,” and says it’s the people and positive environment that really make coming to work enjoyable. Supportive colleagues and managers play a big part in that, something we’re proud to hear.
Being named Employee of the Quarter was a well-earned moment of recognition for Mairead, and one that made her feel “really rewarded, valued, and appreciated by the team.”
Her advice to new starters? Keep it simple: ask questions, be open, and take the time to speak to people across the business - sometimes hearing things more than once really helps it all sink in.
