What a night! We’re still buzzing from our University Challenge.
Huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and made it such a great night. Massive congratulations to “We mark your papers” for stealing the win in the final round 🥳 🏆
Kudos to Reuben for a top performance and to all our contestants for bringing the good craic. Tom was a fantastic host and wasn’t afraid to lay down “the law” when it came to conferring on the starter questions 👀👀. We would also like to thank the lovely staff at the GUU for being so helpful and a special shout out to Dr. Sneddon for donating a raffle prize. It wouldn’t be a GST night without the half time raffle and we hope you’re all chuffed with your prizes ❤️

Feeling the winter blues or exam stress getting to you? Pick up a sweet treat from our bakesale next Tuesday, the 25th outside the Wolfson Medical School Building from 10am-3pm! All proceeds from the bakesale will be going to funding our trip to Uganda in 2026 to provide donations and sexual health education to secondary school students. Plenty of delicious options will be available so do come support our cause and secure a sweet treat in the process! 😋🧁🍰 Prices are up to you (…with a minimum of course)☺️

There is no sign up sheet, tickets will be at the door — £4 but more donations are welcome! Proceeds go to helping Glasgow Straight Talk send a team out to Uganda, provide period supplies for Ugandan school students and donations to aid their education ❤️

Glasgow Straight Talk are looking for Y2s to volunteer to teach sexual health lessons and workshops in 𝐔𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 with Straight Talk Foundation during summer next year.

MON 14/07 ❤️

Today we spent our last day in Iganga with 2 secondary school visits! We are so beyond grateful for the experience and hope that the information we have shared with the young people will stay with them for life! It was amazing to finish our teaching experience in such lovely schools, before we travel back to Kampala in the evening.

SUN 13/07 ❤️

Today we had just one school visit, to a boarding school in Iganga! With tomorrow being our last day in schools before returning to Kampala, we have been reflecting on our experience and writing our report.
