Musicians and Irlen Syndrome/ Visual Stress 🎵

Ever feel like the notes on the page move, blur, or shimmer when you’re reading music?

You might be experiencing Irlen Syndrome, also known as visual stress.

This condition affects how the brain processes light and contrast, especially black print on white paper. Around 15% of people have it, and it can make reading music or text really uncomfortable.

• Music or words that seem to move or flicker
• “Rivers” forming on the page where the white gaps flow through the text
• Words that appear jumbled together

Exciting changes at Specsdirect2u, Cambuslang!

We’ve been busy giving the practice a refresh with a brand new layout, a bigger test room, and the latest equipment to make your eye tests even more comfortable and thorough.

We have had a few patients query whether we are under new management.

We’re still proudly under the same Cameron family management with Stuart the owner, Eve his daughter and your optometrist, and Neil Cameron making your glasses in our in-house lab.
