The Muscle Mekanik Hi there, I am Sharon. I started out as a gymnast when I was a child and this led me to get into gymnastics coaching as an adult.

Sharon Ross is a Sport & Remedial Therapist, specialising in treating with Deep Tissue, IASTM, Trigger Point Therapy, Osteopathic Mobilisation, Kinesio Taping and Cupping to aid recovery and reduce pain. From there my interest in health and fitness grew and I qualified as a massage therapist and personal trainer. I now hold several fitness qualifications and massage qualifications. Including Swedish, Seated Acupressure, Indian Head, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, IASTM, Osteopathic Manipulation, Kinesio Taping and Integrated Cupping. In 2020 I also qualified as a Life Coach, NLP Practitioner and Hypnotherapy Practitioner. All of these qualifications sit nicely together to provide a complete service when it comes to your health and fitness. I have a greater understanding of your situation and how I can best help you because of the diversity of my experience. Through my qualifications and further self education I learned how to self manage injuries, imbalances and stress through exercise and lifestyle changes and can help you do the same.

WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR IN A THERAPIST?

- All too often folk get that piece of paper and their development as a therapist all but stops 🛑

- Seek out someone that makes consistent effort to improve 🛠️

- Find a therapist that treats you like an actual human and not just someone to fit in a box 🗃️

- which leads me to the next point, a lot of the time the label (diagnosis) is not the most important part, the improvement in pain and a therapist with an open mind towards getting you there is 🧠

- Finally, ask about their approach/methods and how they have evolved in their treatment styles

It is believed that up to 80% of the population will experience back pain at some point in their lives!
These are some common misconceptions or at the very least things that are believed to be the case way too easily, when a lot of the time they are incorrect.
