PTSD Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is one of a serviceman's or servicewoman's worse nightmares, just the same as it is for loved ones and friends.

It affects everybody involved, there is more than on victim. Show your support.

I just stuffed up and made friends with a heap of sites I was personally interested in on my PTSD page. Sorry for confusing everyone. Don't know how to fix it.

Anyone any thoughts on this?

Answer (1 of 4): Every time you have a condition of severe depression it will be worse than the last one. That is the reason one should not ignore depression, but visit a clinic or specialist for help. However, the answer to this question is no. PTSD is a particular type of disorder, It is actua...

Another story from another war-zone

Ori Shahak was shot down over Syria. Uri Ehrenfeld was taken captive at the Suez Canal. Thirty-nine years later, the two men are engaged in a campaign for improved state care for prisoners of war. Their own harrowing stories underline the need

Just got this information which I am posting more widely because I think people should be aware:

Stephanie M. White
Ohio Frontiersmen
ATTENTION VETS -
If you have not heard yet, you may find this interesting.

The government encourages veterans to sign off on a PTSD claim to get a little extra benefits. In turn, the vet is not allowed to own a firearm and can be detained for an admitted "mental illness" at any time. This is what happened to Brandon Raub.

They are systematically disarming vets and keeping them on the hook to be arrested and detained without charge. It can then be reported that you "have had a history of mental illness". We see this quite a bit on news reports when people are arrested - it destroys any credibility the detainee has in the public eye.

You might want to rethink admitting to PTSD unless it truly is an issue in your life. A few extra benefits is not worth the cost.

SHARING! I think this is something you might want to know :) xoxo.

Here is an event for everyone - hope I'm not too late in posting it:

Okay, so this morning's body clock decided my day got to start at 2a.m. and I am feeling it right now! Tempted to hit the sack for an hour, but I get to turn in proposals for support (YEAH!!!) to USAA, DAV (Disabled American Veterans Organization) and one to the National Guard-thought they don't know that yet. These will include the final route, changes included, what we are doing and how we are reaching out to you all with this tour. Once these are accepted and approved, and we have funding we are ON OUR WAY TO SEE YOU ALL!!! YAHOO!!!!!

To be blunt we are way short on the fundraising needed for this trip and down to the wire. If we do not have the funding to complete the whole trip, and I may get to push this back to next year. I get to admit that bums me out. Right now, taking money from my family, and squeezing blood from a turnip, I could get up to Maine, at max. That is not even close to all those who deserve the services of The PTSD Retreat brought to them. If every person who liked the page gave JUST $15 OR BOUGHT JUST 3 BAGS OF COFFEE, we would have the money to cover the ENTIRE ROUTE! Please, if you feel strongly The PTSD Retreat is serving a purpose that is needed, support us on this ride so we can reach out to those struggling who can't fly out to a retreat or afford to even leave their jobs. We are going to them, TO YOU! Each person being served deserves to know they are not forgotten, and I am not talking just military. EVERYONE WITH PTSD or AT RISK FOR PTSD DESERVES TO KNOW THEY ARE NOT FORGOTTEN HERE!

Have just had contact from someone developing PTSD from 911 interested in other people with similar experiences. Here is an article saying how 911 has lead to an increase in PTSD research:

For New York City resident Esperanza Muñoz, the attack on the World Trade Centers is not over 10 years later — not by a long shot. At odd moments, the stench of death still rises to her nose, and...
