So incredibly proud of this wonderful man. This week we reviewed his initial assessment balance test and having worked incredibly hard for a full year, with some inevitable frailty setbacks along the way he has shown such incredible progress. 29/52 in Dec 2024 placing him in the high risk category for falls…52/56 in Nov 2025, making him low risk for falls. He could not be happier and I could not be more proud; not bad for 97 - never too old for progress! Our journey together as come to a satisfying end for both of us for now, but B has said although he hopes he won’t need me for a little while, he will gladly return when he needs a helping hand. Even saw me off with a kiss on the hand. What an absolute gent. This is the reason I love my job. ♥️(Post shared with clients permission) - for your resident board.

Thanks to for inviting me to come and run a 2 hour training at your clinic. Kerry, the owner sent me some kind words afterward…. “Louise provided an up to date training session on Frailty. We learnt the most up to date information and evidence for assessment and management of frailty symptoms, and conditions frequently linked to it. The session was interactive and engaging.”

Being a frailty physio isn’t all about rehab exercises; it’s about seeing the whole person. New hydration option organised for a client who struggles to hold cups due to arthritis. In this hot weather it’s essential to reduce risk of acute kidney injury & other dehydration related health issues

Todays lesson is the benefit an exercise buddy can make to your life. A relatively new client today who self confessed she doesn’t like exercise said after today’s session “exercise is so much more fun when you’re working out WITH someone”…. She did also call me a “taskmaster”, but given that she said it with a beaming smile and a glint in her eye, I reckon I’m off the hook! 👍🏻

Just a snippet of the wonderful feedback I’ve received from a long term clients daughter today. K lives in America and I have worked closely with her and me client J, over the last few years to help J to maintain her independence, ability to socialise and therefore her quality of life. Physio isn’t just about joints and muscles, it’s the whole person.

When you receive a testimonial like this, you just can’t help but smile. Music to my ears. Physio isn’t just about exercise and muscles, it’s about the whole person. 😃 🎵

“I live in the USA and Mum is a resident in a nursing/care facility in the UK. I am the only relative she has so the distance apart makes it particularly difficult, but all the more essential, to be sure I have an ongoing and accurate assessment of Mum's wellbeing and needs. I am happy with the care Mum gets but there is absolutely no substitute for regular, independent eyes on the ground.

Louise has seen Mum on a weekly basis for several years now and thanks to her expertise and advocacy Mum has been able to maintain as much independence and physical strength as possible, as well as access services I would have not known about to help maintain maximum mobility and comfort. In addition to the hands-on work she does with Mum, Louise has provided physical assessments and a point of liaison for obtaining equipment to support Mum's mobility, including obtaining and personally fitting both a motorized and manual wheelchair.

Mum's physical condition has inevitably deteriorated over the years thanks to age and underlying health issues, but Louise has constantly adjusted and modified physical activity plans and goals in line with Mum's capabilities and helped Mum adjust her own expectations so that she remains engaged and positive. Having a long-standing relationship with Mum means Louise is able to provide clinical guidance and formal risk assessments so that Mum is able to participate in social and entertainment activities as much as possible. This has vastly improved Mum's emotional and mental well-being and continues to ensure she remains socially active and stimulated which is so critical to overall quality of life and contentment.

There is no question that I rely heavily on Louise's support, expertise, and recommendations, and I have unequivocal trust in the fact that the information and updates she provides are accurate, objective, and prioritize Mum's well-being. Mum looks forward to her weekly visits and has come to view Louise as a real friend and confidante. Thanks to everything that Louise does both for me and Mum, I am reassured that I have a clear-eyed view of how Mum is doing, and that she has an ally very close by should she need it. There are no words to express how much this means.

With so much gratitude...
K 😊
