National Stress Awareness Week from 3rd - 7th November.

Stress can affect the body by triggering the fight-or-flight response.

This then releases hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol that may temporarily increase heart rate, blood pressure, and energy.

Chronic stress can lead to physical symptoms like headaches, muscle tension, digestive issues, fatigue. This can also contribute to serious health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and a weakened immune system.

How can you release stress ?

Physical activity like pilates,. yoga or swimming 🏊‍♂️.
Practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and meditation.
Ensure you are getting enough sleep.
Eat a balanced diet.
Spend time in nature.
Listen to calming music and
Sometimes connecting with loved ones can help relieve stress.

Have you asked yourself where these thoughts/feelings are coming from?

Would you like to feel less overwhelmed, make time for yourself and do what makes you happy?

Have you thought about setting Boundaries for your self care?

Creating boundaries can significantly reduce stress by setting clear expectations in various aspects of life.
This can allow you to protect time, energy and your emotional wellbeing, which can lead to a better sense of control helping reduce anxiety.

Here are some examples of 7 types of Boundaries

1. TIME :- How much time you spend doing something or time spent with someone.
2. PHYSICAL:- privacy, private space, your body.
3. CONVERSION:- subjects that you don't feel comfortable speaking about.
4. MENTAL :- freedom to have your own opinions, thoughts, values.
5. EMOTIONAL:- As much as you would like to support someone ask yourself how emotionally available you are to others.
6. INTERNAL :- It is ok to have time for yourself. If you have been socialble all week it's OK to express you need time to yourself.
7. MATERIAL:- Monetary decisions. If you have already lent someone money it's OK to say "I have already lent you money this week therefore not again right now.
