National Stress Awareness Week from 3rd - 7th November.
Stress can affect the body by triggering the fight-or-flight response.
This then releases hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol that may temporarily increase heart rate, blood pressure, and energy.
Chronic stress can lead to physical symptoms like headaches, muscle tension, digestive issues, fatigue. This can also contribute to serious health problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and a weakened immune system.
How can you release stress ?
Physical activity like pilates,. yoga or swimming 🏊♂️.
Practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and meditation.
Ensure you are getting enough sleep.
Eat a balanced diet.
Spend time in nature.
Listen to calming music and
Sometimes connecting with loved ones can help relieve stress.
