Dave the Sheep, a resident at Alberts Horse Sanctuary in South Yorkshire, was found cast in May with a pair of horrendous pressure sores, and an x-ray revealing he had spondylosis of the spine.

Vet Nurse, Gemma, who volunteers for the sanctuary, from our Vets Now Sheffield clinic spent two months providing daily care, including wound treatment and physiotherapy, to help Dave get better. He also had a wheelchair donated from Winston's Wheels Charity 1191322.

โ€œI volunteer one day a week at Albertโ€™sโ€ฆ I enjoy helping all the animals and giving something back to a local charity. Itโ€™s great for my mental health to be out in the fresh air, exercising and making a difference,โ€ says Gemma.

Thanks to her dedication, Dave has fully recovered and can now walk unaided. Absolutely incredible! ๐ŸŒŸ

We are absolutely delighted for Paul Aldridge, the Referral Surgeon from our Vets Now Manchester Hospital, who received his RCVS - Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons fellowship last week.

The award recognises his meritorious contribution to clinical practice, particularly his dedication to education, training, and mentorship. Remarkably, it also coincides with 30 years since Paul graduated.

Huge congratulations from all of us!
